Works to trees in a conservation area: T1 - Large Sycamore tree on the right-hand side of front garden. The tree is causing excessive shading to property. Routine maintenance, reduce by 30% to previous points and remove lower limb on right-hand side of the tree growing towards building. T2 - Large lime tree in middle of front garden. Re-pollard to previous historic points and remove lateral limbs growing towards building. Tree is currently touching flats which is also suffering with issues of light and damp. Remove lower lateral limb to trunk and lower lateral limbs to be removed from stems growing towards house where more vertical branches are available.

Yew trees [1 & 2 on plan] either side of drive gateway to be dropped as far as possible and archway effect maintained [overgrown and keep light out from front of house]. Overgrown bushes [5 on plan] under to be trimmed a little to tidy up. Mixed hedge [decidous and evergreen - holly, budleia, elderberry] to side of house [3 & 4], along road to be topped in line with windows opposite to keep privacy and tidy up. Hazel tree [3] to be reduced as far as possible to maintain privacy from flats opposite and sycamore [6 - not seen from road] to be removed if possible. General tidy up of trees in conservation area without removing any trees [apart from unseen sycamore - 6] Photos also provided.

Yew (T7)- trim and reshape- to maintain as screen from neighbouring flats . Cherry (T8)- remove major deadwood and reduce limbs to south by approx. 1.0m - reduce overhang over area of topiary Box. Norway Maple (T9)- crown reduce by approx. 2m to old reduction points- to allow more light into neighbours house and garden .

Eucalyptus (T9) - Fell. (The tree is contributing to the subsidence damage at Flats 17, 18 & 19 Hamilton Court. The tree is located at the neighbouring property Stanbury House, 16a North Common Road). The tree works are proposed to stop the influence of the tree(s) on the soil below building foundation level and provide long term stability.

Holly: Cut back 100% of growth growing toward house and over garden area as with above, leaving all growth parallel with Fernbank Court flats boundary to retain screening. Group of 3 x Lawson Cypress: Remove the two trees closest to Fernbank Road.

Our application is required to allow us to crown lift the tree line & overhanging branches to 1.5m above the street lighting column at the car parking court to prevent further damage to our tenants cars with fallen branches etc. within our existing flatted development at Flats 1-20.Birchfield House.48 Hopes Carr.Stockport.SK1 3QN. The neighbours in the flats complain that the tree overshadows their garden and flats and during windy weather they are disturbed by the noise of the branches on the building. The branches are detrimentally affecting the tiles on the roof of the building.
