To identify the tree of concern I have attached a Tree Survey File. On the drawing the tree is seen on the border of plot 2 and plot 3 labelled "Leylandii". Since the survey was completed the land has been sold for development and the resultant plots are slightly different resulting in the tree being on the very border of plot 2. I am the owner of plot 2. I will also include a few pictures of the tree. The tree is very large and over bearing. I would like to replace the tree with a number of smaller trees distributed around the plot. Design to be established by a landscape professional should approval be possible for the removal of the large tree,

(Retaining staked trees planted as part of the development conditions). 4x mixed deciduous juniors - Remove. All marked with red under 200mm dbh. Green dots are specimen mature trees for retention to comply with the TPO. T1 Hawthorn - Remove, dead. T2 Elm - Remove, dead. T3 Sycamore - Remove. T4 Yew - Remove.

T1 Norway Maple, located to the rear of the development (Northern Aspect). Sectional fell, causing damage to the neighbouring driveway and dropping debris throughout the year. T2 Beech, next to the above, Crown reduce by up to 2 metres from the growth tips. - TPO#: T2 - 210E

The proposal is to extend the rear of the property with a single storey extension extruding 2m from the existing building line, across the width of the property. The single storey extension is proposed to be 2m in depth and spanning the width of the northern elevation, excluding the garage area. To allow this development to proceed, there will not be a requirement to remove any trees. The project is to be built under the Certificate of Lawfulness (Permitted development) and the supporting report is to demonstrate how this can be achieved whilst maintaining the tree root system and minimizing the impact during construction.

Notice of intent to carry out works to tree protected by Tree Preservation Order 10/10 - The tree is a Lime tree which is a large mature tree with dense juvenile basal growth, it has a relatively large secondary stem and 5 smaller secondary stems. There is some damage to lower limbs overhanging the driveway and informal parking area beneath the canopy of this tree.The owners of 14 Derwent way would like the removal of this tree for a number of reasons: Firstly its appearance, it is of poor shape and has a lot of Basel growth. Secondly It is relatively close to the house and casts shade over their front garden. Thirdly, The tree drops a lot of twigs and branched onto their parking area / drive and therefore their cars. Finally, they wish to landscape their front garden and create more parking and turning space for vehicles, this tree prevents that development.

multi stem sycamore (T1)- fell due to poor development under mature sycamore. leaning heavily towards property with large cavity spanning from the base of the stem, cambium falling to recover see image 1. at the base of the two stems is a occluded garden ornament which in time will create a weakness leading to failure. see image 2 sycamore (T2)- fell due to poor development under mature sycamore. multi stem sycamore (T3)- fell due to poor development under mature sycamore. leaning due to competition for light.

1 x Oak tree - fell and replace Weak tree of a pair. Decay at base, dieback and yellowed foliage.Improve development of retained tree. Poor location to existing house and driveway. replace with Hop Hornbeam.

x1 Beech tree at south-east of new Lockesley Chase Development - Crown lift branches over car parking space for house to 3m and 0.5m back from car parking space as per plan to allow access to car with out fighting the tree. Pruning in winter to 3m will account for the branches being lower when in leaf. Tip prune several rogue leaders back in to crown as per plan to keep specimen shape SUBJECT TO TPO 2610 (30.4.2015)

Tree T1 was surveyed by us in October 2020 as part of a mortgage survey before a house purchase. The report is a combined VTA/5837 report. The reason for this approach was to ascertain the radial RPA of T1as there has been development very close to this tree. it is our belief that the tree has been damaged by the construction works evidenced by google earth imagery showing no tree protection at the time of construction and the obvious decline in vitality of the tree. Although it does not pose an immediate danger we have recommended the tree is removed whilst it is easy to do so. It is understood that a TPO has been applied to the tree and the client would be willing to carry out mitigation planting.
