We have a crab apple tree approximately 8 feet from a conservatory. According to Building Surveyor, Mr John Nettleton MRICS (07811 325800) it is contributing to some movement in the conservatory floor and sinking of the patio. We would like to either remove this tree or reduce its height. New height would be 8ft. We will use a specialist company AJH Tree Services. The tree is listed as - LE_TPO_TLC_SP_VIEW2, T1 HORSE CHESTNUT Since it was last pruned/trimmed about 5/6 years ago, it has now grown significantly so that the canopy is about 25m round and 25m tall. It is now covering about 50/60% of our garden and encroaching our house conservatory and garden office. The result of this is significant bird and animal faeces and tree debris over the garden and patio which with children playing is really concerning. It also means that we cannot use the patio for eating or sitting due to the risk of fresh faeces/debris falling on the family. We are also concerned about the risk of more significant damage to the property with larger branches falling onto the house, conservatory or garden office. We have sought a professional tree surgeon who has recommended a 25/30%- 6-7m back to previous points reduction to the canopy, mainly on our side, as the growth has been slower on the northern side This will regain the garden back for family use for another 5/6 years.

T1 Spruce. Previously topped resulting in 2 leaders, and secondary stem from base. Remove tree due to proximity to house and inability to reduce/shape Spruce species properly. T2 Apple. Remove due to proximity to conservatory and concern of root damage

Please see attached "sketch plan" for location of trees. Apple (T1) - Fell as tree is Sying rotten boughs / Branches have fall on car parked on drive and nearby house. Danger due to proximity to house. See attached photos. Aylesbury Prune (T2) - Fell Main old trunk is dying, several large boughs have fallen off landing where our children play, tree is leaning significantly towards the childrens playhouse and conservatory. If it were to topple, it could endanger life. There is new growth which we will preserve and train up to replace old growth. Please see attached photos.

T1 - Lawson Cypress - Fell because of close proximity to the house, conservatory and stores. Potential damage to the structural integrity of the buildings surrounding it. T2 - Lawson Cypress - Fell because of close proximity to the brick wall connected to the boundary wall of the property, the house, conservatory and stores. Potential damage to the structural integrity of the buildings surrounding it. T3 - Lawson Cypress - Fell because of close proximity to the garage and greenhouse. Potential damage to the structural integrity of the buildings surrounding it. T4 - Apple - Prune tree by opening out centre, removal of dead wood, crown reduction 1.5 - 2m

T1 Lime Crown reduce by 2-3 m cutting back to suitable branch unions. Maintain and contain to ensure the tree remains in good health and vitality. T1a Holm Oak Crown reduce height by 3 m and bring in side branches by 1.5-2 m to reshape and balance. Growing close to the conservatory. T2: Yew Reduce height by 5m. Remove major deadwood. Tree has dead top. T3 Beech Crown reduce tree by 2-3m, cutting back to live wood. Reshape and balance crown Maintain, contain and create balance.
