Demolition of existing single-storey brick building, removal of trees and construction of a new three-storey innovation centre and office space (Class E), a facility for interdepartmental development complete with ancillary facilities and associated landscaping, access and servicing (Retrospective)

Fell two pines (retrospective works). The work was completed on 4th Jan 2023 under the 5 days notice DD rule. T1 Scots Pine Height - 17m DBH - 500mm Crown spread - 7m Work required - Fell to ground level Reason : It was noticed in the summer of 2022 that the trees declined rapidly. The foliage failed with the year and no green foliage remain. The timber is dry and showing no signs of sap. No human interference had occurred to the trees or their surroundings. My understanding is that the recent dry summers have put a lot of stress on the trees and unfortunately for the two in the group they succumb. Retrospective application for removal of trees to rear of property, including replacement planting proposals (pursuant to enforcement action ref: NC/22/00019/Tree), covering trees removed and trees failed in recent and distant past totalling 10no. trees: T1 Apple variety Small stump, central area hollow T2 Plum Small stump. Decay on south side T3 Apple variety C. 0.5m high stump. Central area hollow. Wire embedded in stem T4 Pear Small low stump. Identification difficult but appears to be pear variety T5 Apple variety Low stump, c 0.2m high. T6 Pear As above T7 Apple variety Low stump, central portion hollow T8 Walnut Low stump. Tree split at union during December storms of 2021. T9 Walnut Decaying stump and root plate lifted. Tree failed in storms over 2 years ago. T10 Apple variety Small low stump. No works specified as trees all stand as low stumps. Replacement planting detail provided in plan form - Please see provided documents for further detail.
