Beech Tree T15 Picture 1 shows the tree (fully mature 60 feet high) in relation to the driveway (access for all residents on the site). The branches to be reduced are circled, and are rather separate from the main canopy, which will be unaffected by this work. Only about three or four metres of the lowest three branches would be affected. These branches are often struck by large vehicles entering the properties at Stockgrove Park House. Pictures 2 and 3 show these in close up.

Common Beech tree (Fagus Sylvatica) to west of house (T1 on plan) has grown vigorously to the south east and now overlaps the house with branches in contact with the house roof. Tree to be trimmed by up to 2.4m to maintain adequate clearance from the property and to reduce the drip line from the roof. Work is to protect both the tree and the house from damage due to contact.

G1 - G3 - 3 x Oak Trees - Remove major deadwood throughout whole crown area (Deadwood > 25mm in diameter). Reduce back the lateral extent growing towards the house and garden by 1-2m. G4 - Lime - Remove major deadwood throughout whole crown area (Deadwood > 25mm in diameter). Remove basal growth and epicormics up to 3m. Reason: To manage and maintain the trees within their residential environment.

There are 7 trees affected by this application, all are Silver Birch, and the location is shown on the attached sketch, X1 to X7. They were included in TPO 29 1996 and were part of a group designated G3 in Planning Application 20/01790/APP in 2020 for what eventually became Tower View Cottage. These trees are approximately 65 years old (as advised by local residents who knew of the planting), but their growth has been suppressed for the majority of their life as they were shaded by other neighbouring trees in close proximity. At this age, even in good health, the remaining life is expected to be less than 10 years to failure or death, however they are all in the last stages of their decline and this time is likely to be considerably less than 10 years. They all have very thin crowns, and are sparsely leafed. Specifically there is considerable concern regarding the safety in the garden, and the proximity to the house and boundaries. Specifically :- X1 is dying, has significant dead wood in the crown and is leaning toward the eastern boundary. X2 is dying, has two major cavities at about 3m and is a potential danger to the house given the age and condition of the tree. X3, X4, X5 & X6 are all tall with very thin crowns, with minimal growth only at high level and are in decline. X7 has dead limbs at the crown and is dangerously close to the neighbouring house, Midcourts. This request is that due to the condition and age of the trees that they be felled and the stumps ground out. It is disappointing to have to request the felling of these trees, but given the circumstances it is considered essential. Therefore we would propose to plant 4-5 new trees around the garden, the species to be discussed with the Buckinghamshire Authority

T1 Maple. Crown reduce in height and spread by up to 1.5 meters to the previous pruning points, (but not exceeding these points). T2 Maple. Crown reduce in height and spread by up to 1.5 meters to the previous pruning points, (but not exceeding these points). This work is in order to maintain both of these trees at a size that is appropriate for their setting in the garden and within close proximity to the house. They have been reduced in size previously and the work is in order to maintain them at this size without compromising their aesthetic value.

Cypressus and Sycamore sycamore - very tall and close to telephone cables Cypressus - looks very crispy with lots of dead wood rather tall both trees are damaging the customers fence/ on the border. Customer would like to be able to put a fence up for security for the house. would like to remove both and replant

T1 : Willow. Removal to ground level . Tree is dead. T2-T3: Maple. Reduce majority of crown to historic wounds ( 2-3m) to create a smaller balanced crown ( please see image 2) . Reduce lateral spread over neighbouring boundary to approx 1 m beyond historic wounds ( 3-4m) . This is to minimise the growth over the roof and against house. ( Please see image 3)

1no. English Oak Height - 20m Crown spread - 18m DBH - 1.2m Work required : - Reduce lateral branches by a maximum of 4m to the southwest of the crown, where they overhang Glanwin House. Reason : To reduce damage caused by squirrels and branches striking the property itself. This work has been completed before as routine maintenance. - A 1m crown reduction to be undertaken on all aspects apart from the southwest. Reason : The last reduction was completed in OCT/2009. There are multiple targets below the tree (highway, footway, power and telecom cables, property, vehicles) and many limbs are becoming over extended. The tree would benefit from a crown reduction it is long overdue.

Reduce the Holly (T2) at the front of the property to the following specifications: ? Reduce the height of the tree by 2-2.5 meters ? Reduce the spread of the tree especially towards the house by 1-1.5 meters leaving a balanced shape These pruning works are necessary to maintain the trees for its location whilst retaining the aesthetic appearance it provides. Where possible pruning cuts will be to secondary and tertiary points in line with BS3998

Sycamore T1 reduction. Works are required to the sole sycamore tree at the property to reduce in size and spread. The tree has not had any pruning or maintenance works undertaken since March 2003 (Planning application 03/00786/ATP refers). The tree dominates the garden and house and is located c.7 metres from the house - the tree is approximately twice the height of the house. The sycamore appears to be healthy; however, the spread and reach of the tree requires remedial work to bring it back to the scale as per the original planning application. There are branches which overhang the adjacent pathway leading to the John Hampden school campus. There is a concern that deadfall or other branches may fall onto this pathway causing injury or damage. Large branches have previously fallen on this pathway and more recently, branches have fallen onto the property, causing minor damage. The branches are also interfering with overhead wires and there is potential for damage in this regard. South Bucks Tree Surgeons Ltd have been commissioned to assess the tree and conduct the works. Their assessment of works is as follows: Crown Reduction - Reducing the height and spread of the tree by up to 2 metres back to suitable growth unions. Crown lift to a height of 7m. this includes removing lowest limb over pathway to school back to source. All other branches will only need secondary growth removing to achieve 7m desired height.
