There are 12 Leylandii Tree forming a Hedgerow and the front of property as shown in Sketch Plan and images. The 12 Trees have overgrown through the years and left very little to no protection below the crown of the Trees as you can see in the images provided. This is causing no sound protection and no visibility protection as the fence is also long past it sell by date. The new home owner would like to remove the 12 Leylandii, put up a new fence to match the previous which is a 1.8m-2m close-board fence and to replant 12-15 new Leylandii Infront of the fence to replace like for like what is already there. This will allow better maintenance and to keep in scope with the village requirements. The proposed works will be to carried out in 6-8 weeks which then also sees us past bird nesting season.

G1 Cypress x3 Section fell to ground level. G2 Mixed species adjacent to HA-HA reduce overhanging lateral growth the within boundary line to instal fence. Remove self set saplings. G3 Yew trees, clip by 12 inchs to contain in current form. T1 Willow, crown lift as directed for view, by removing to source and selectively thinning secondary laterals in lower crown only. Crown lifted to the height of the first primary lateral by removing the pendulous secondary branches ( 3.5 meters from ground level) the thin is no more than 10% in the lower crown and will mainly consist of the removal of duplicated limbs T4 Apple, mature specimen, thin crown by 10% to promote good form and remove major dead wood. T5 Birch, dead specimen section fell to ground level. T6 Willow, split in main stem. Section fell to ground level. G5 Mixed species, clear and cut back by 1 meter from fence to allow access for re- fencing. G6 Mixed species, inc cypress, fell on fence line cut back by 1 meter from fence to allow access for re- fencing.

Cypressus and Sycamore sycamore - very tall and close to telephone cables Cypressus - looks very crispy with lots of dead wood rather tall both trees are damaging the customers fence/ on the border. Customer would like to be able to put a fence up for security for the house. would like to remove both and replant

The YEW tree shown on 1) & 2) of the attached document is the tree in question, 3) shows the poor condition of the tree in general. This tree is located within the grounds of the church on the Churchway (public road) boundary opposit to domestic dwellings and the end of the boughs are within 5 meters of the garden wall to these houses. There are 2 boughs which overhang the road as shown in 4) which also shows that the tree is adjacent to the steps from Churchway to the churchyard, an area frequented by churchgoers and public. Within the last year a bough has broken and damaged the fence 6), last week a bough snapped in the wind landing in the churchyard 5). During any windy periods the boughs of the tree creak, signifcantly bending and causing concern for the safety of those living or walking nearby. We have been advised to remove back to the trunk both overhanging boughs 4) and to remove all dead wood as can be reached within the tree canopy.

10 year consent to prune or crown lift any trees which impact an item of outdoor furniture to include benches, gates, signage, bridges, posts and fence lines. Pruning will be done sensitively and with good practice.

The trees do not have a TPO but sit within Weston Turville conservation area. The quoted work would be carried out by J Fox Tree Care (Qualified Tree Surgeon at West End, Weston Turville 07990 998539) The work would include reducing the lateral overhang by 1 to 1.5 metres so the trees are back to the boundary fence and therefore not so close to our house. The work would include reducing height / overhang of the Beech, Hornbeam and Purple Beech by approximately 3 metres or less. The trees are blocking light and have not been maintained. Work will be carried out from 10 Wheelwrights and the owner of Butchers Orchard is aware that the Tree Surgeon would need to access to the trees. All work would be fully insured and all waste removed. The work would be paid for by myself. I attach a map of 10 Wheelwrights boundary and where the trees are situated in 62 Main Street, Butchers Orchard.

T1: Damson . Remove 2x over hanging stems to behind boundary to enable the repair of the fence. T2: Beech . Reduce lower lateral limbs by 2-3m to blend with upper crown and minimise limb failure. T3: Sycamore. Reduce lower lateral limbs by approx 2m to blend with upper crown and minimise risk of limb failure. These works are also aimed at inviting more light into the rear garden

Reduction in size of lower and middle branches of 2 x sycamore trees and 1 x conifer tree to stop the trees from incroching on the neighbours garden. This will also allow light into their garden and encourage plant growth as well as increase the owners pleasurable use of the garden. To raise the bottom of the sycamore trees by cutting the lowers branches back to the fence (approx 5ft of branch and approx 1.5ft from the trunk of the tree) To reduce the middle level branches by approx 4ft to ensure the tree is not top heavy and to provide sun and light to access the garden This applies to no's 1 and 2 on the drawing To reduce the lower branches of the conifer tree to approx 2ft from the trunk.
