We would like to prune one branch of a leaf maple tree which is located immediately behind 14 Clarence Court (On the attached plan this is numbered 1T). The branch overhangs Clarence Court property and affects the light to my bungalow, 14 Clarence Court. We would like to prune the branch back to the boundary fence of Clarence Court. We want to prune from the knuckle of the branch (In the attached photo this is identified by the pointer with a red towel) which is about 6 meters of the branch. Also, as you can see from the second photo, there are no windows above the ground level of Lime Tree House garden and therefore the removal of this one branch will not affect privacy in their garden or the house which is more than 35 meters from Clarence Court. We understand from the owner of number 13 Forest Close, Wendover that in the past they have applied, been granted permission and pruned this tree. We would also like to prune back to our fence the laurel bush, on the attached map this is between tree 2T and the red leaf maple 1T

Greenfield Cottage 24 Westbrook End Newton Longville Buckinghamshire MK17 0DF

The silver birch (T1) it's only really a tidy up of existing branches and therefore probably an overall height reduction of approximately 2-3m on two significant branches with no crown reduction, simply to give it a better shape and better overall health/longevity. The Copper Beech (T2) has previously had a significant crown reduction many years ago (probably in excess of 50?) and this has meant that much of the top of the tree above the original crown is now thin and wispy. The original crown would not be reduced. The thin branches above the original crown would be reduced between approx. 3 to 4metres to restore some shape and in addition the three lowest branches over-hanging the highway would be reduced by approx. 3 metres, (bringing them in line with the boundary fence and retaining their existing height at that point) whilst again bringing some shape and balance to the tree. The two key objectives with T2 are (1) to reduce some of the thin branch height above the original crown to improve sunlight to the thatch and (2) to remove the branches that are struck by passing vehicles on the highway. Copper Beech T3 is a better shape than T2 and again needs no crown reduction/raising. There are three lower branches growing downwards over the adjoining property driveway (as shown on the submitted photos) and these would be reduced by approx. 3m to bring them in line with the height and position of the boundary fence. There are also two lower branches extending over the highway (although not as low as T2) and these would simply be tidied up with no more than approx. 2m removed. The proposal is a general tidy up with no crown increase/reduction to improve/retain overall shape.

Trees 1 and 2 are Russett apple trees. They have grown very large - Currently about 20 feet high. I would like to reduce the crowns to approx 10 feet high by 8 feet diameter. Tree 4 - Maple this has grown so large it shades out much of the neighbours garden. I would like to reduce the crown to about 12 feet high by 10 feet diameter. Tree 5 - This silver birch is now approx 70 Feet high and overhangs the neighbours garden and allotments. It has grown through my boundary and brought my fence down as damage to other peoples property. I also need to replace the fence to secure my garden, But cannot do so due to the size of the trunk. Therefore wish to be allowed to fell this tree.
