8 x Oak - Reduce height and spread by 1-1.5m to access more light into gardens and for general tree maintenance as it seems they have not been cut for many years. Remove major dead wood to make safe as large limbs have previously shed(especially in the resent high winds we have had) Recent storms have encouraged us to take action and manage the size of the Oak trees as they grow very tall due to being planted within a tight proximity. 1 x Tamarix Tree - Remove. Barnet Council have confirmed the tree is not included in a Tree Preservation Order. Email attached in supporting documents. As you can see from the attached photographs and drawings, the canopy of this this non native tree covers almost the entire garden affording no natural light to reach the garden floor. Furthermore, this tree sheds leaves and blossom all year round which involves constant clear up. The trees lower branches are well below adult male head hight (6ft) proving at best an annoyance, at worst an injury hazard. Also as seen by photographs 3 and 4 the tree is leaning at over a 45 degree angle and there are concerns that it could fall, causing potential damage to property. Removal of this tree will enable us full use of the garden and allow us to plant species that encourage local wildlife. As a full time remote worker having usable outside space is vital for maintaining good mental health.

1 x Magnolia (applicants ref. T1) - Approximately 4.00m: Thin crown density by 20% by means of removing several whole branches emanating from the main stem. Reduce crown by approximately 1.25m. General maintenance. To increase light levels. 1 x Purple Plum (applicants ref. T2) - Approximately 8.00m: Fell to ground level. Fungal fruiting body noted 1.00m above ground level. Dead/dying tree. It would be prudent to remove the tree as soon as is reasonably practicable. 2 x Thuja (applicants ref. T3,T4) - Approximately 10.00m: Reduce by approximately 40% (4.00m). Too tall for the garden. Ivy clad. General maintenance. 1 x Willow (applicants ref. T5) - Approximately 10.00m: Thin crown density by up to 20%. Remove dead wood throughout crown. Remove low limb leaning on the shed. General maintenance. Control encroachment.

1 x Ash(applicants ref. T1) - Approximately 9.00m: Thin crown density by approximately 20%. Remove dead wood. Reduce extraneous overlong branches by up to 1.50m back into main crown structure. General maintenance. 2 x Ash (applicants ref. T2,T3) - Approximately 9.00-10.00m: Fell both trees to ground level and treat with systemic herbicide. These trees are growing on the boundary with the neighbouring property and are very close to the garden shed. To control encroachment. 3 x Ash saplings (applicants ref. T4,T5,T6) - Approximately 5.00m: Fell to ground level and treat with systemic herbicide. 1 x Magnolia (applicants ref. T7) - Fell to ground level and remove root ball. This tree has suffered crown dieback.

1 x Laurel hedge (applicants ref. T1) - Reduce height and spread by 1-2m, reducing back any overhanging branches encroaching towards neighbouring garden as pushing up against fence causing possible future damage. 1 x Leyland Cypress (applicants ref. T2) - Reduce height down by 1.5-2m to reduce sail and prevent risk from uprooting. From recent high winds the neighbouring house is afraid the tree will shed large limbs onto the property causing serious damage. Trim sides to shape.
