Hornbeam (T1) - Reduce lateral canopy spread over house and garden by 2m using suitable growth points to keep a natural shaped canopy. Yew (T2) - Prune away from building to provide a 1-1.5m clearance and reduce remaining upper overhanging canopy by 1.5m-2m

T1 Willow - Fell. - small specimen planted tight between Maple and Birch. Suppressed. Removal will allow the two other trees to expand crowns to their benefit.

T1 Birch: crown reduce removing around 4m from height to leave a finished height of 11.5m and up to 3m from lateral spread leaving a spread of up to 9m, to shape remaining canopy. Work done to maintain tree at suitable size for its location.

Works to be undertaken A crown reduction of approximately 20% (2m) retaining the general shape and habit of the species as available given historical management (see annotated photo)

Felling of a single dead crab apple tree

T1 - Apple reduce height by 2m, selectively prune thin out sun shoots and dead wood crown. T2 - Maple sp. Eastern lateral tertiary foliage to prune around utility wire. T3 - Beech sp, to utility line clear over highways, eastern lateral tertiary foliage. T4 - Conifer to dismantle to low level, vying for light, no amenity value. T5 - Hazel re-coppice all stools, leaving at circa 1m above ground level. T6 ? Cherry sp. to bring in the crown canopy with a 2.5m reduction. T7 - Apple crown clean deadwood, thin out sun shoots and any chaffing branches. T8 - Quince - pool area deadwood, remove main offending lower limb, due to pre-existing poor pruning. G9 -3no ornamental trees adjacent to the rear of the property, to reduce and shape, reducing in height by circa 2m and allowing a building clearance of 1.5m. T10 Conifer to reduce the over-extended lateral growth by 1.5m on the eastern side away from building giving a building clearance of 2m. T11 - Holly to reduce in height by 2m and tidy the crown by 0.25m. (see full measureable spec online)

We would like to fell 6 trees in the Copse behind our house in Laverstoke Lane. A Number of these are Ash tress which we've been advised by a tree surgeon have Ash die back. They are therefore dangerous and in windy conditions we often have large branches coming down. The remaining 2 trees to be felled are to allow a uniform look along that side of the garden/wood and also to prevent future problems with potential falling of these trees. Their branches are very close to power lines and we have had to have them cut back several times . The trees to be felled are at the edge of the copse near to the garden bit within the main body of the wood itself. We will still have a large area of woodland left in the Copse, more so than many of the neighbouring areas where many trees have been felled over the years. We will not be replanting any new trees due to the significant number we already have and that the wood would indeed benefit from some reduction in tree number to allow other trees to thrive better due to better light and space etc. We would also like permission to fell subsequent Ash trees with Ash die back in due course as part of conservation of the wood- I'm not sure if this requires additional applications?

1. Cherry tree rear garden: Crown reduce by approximately one metre below previous reduction points to a finished height of approximately eight metres or good growth points on the tree. The tree has grown too big with low hanging branches, some of which cover 27 Newbury Road and my car parking area. To cut back the side branches on the Cherry tree growing over 27 Newbury Road to previous reduction points or by approximately one metre. 2 & 3. Two Rowan trees:. Crown reduce two Rowan trees in the rear garden by approximately one metre to a finished height of approximately five metres and remove dead branches. Both trees have not been cut in 30 years and have now grown too tall with low hanging branches over my garden and 27 Newbury Road. 4. Remove Elderflower tree at the front of the property and replace with a shrub. This tree is badly diseased and dying in places. In bad weather branches have fallen across the pavement and Newbury Road.
