Prior Notification for temporary change of use of an existing pub (A4 use) or restaurant (A3 use) to a use for the provision of takeaway food, which includes any use within Class A5 (hot food takeaways) and any hot or cold pre-prepared food for takeaway or delivery. This is not a planning application because it relates to development that is permitted by Government Regulation, so will not go to Committee or determined by the Local Authority. This temporary change of use expires at midnight on 23rd March 2021 unless withdrawn sooner by the Government. Please note that temporary change of use right to sell takeaway food does not extend to the sale of alcohol unless the current alcohol licence for the premises permits this.
