Re-thatch roof and replacement chimney pots

Various structural works to front barn to allow for re-roofing given consent under 22/01352/BLB, including works to the truss beam, rafters, purlins and haunches. Replacement of the tie beam, replacement of broken and decayed studs, new cross braced restraint straps across the tops of the rafters in each bay, new timber collar within the western bay, broken purlin to the east of the deflecting tie beam to be repaired or replaced and missing haunches to the inner western truss to be reinstated.

Conversion of wing and outbuilding, rear single storey extension and conversion of roof space

Alterations to the existing roof, including the replacement of the existing basecoat and combed wheat covering with a longstraw thatch roof; introduction of new roof members and leadwork to augment the existing roof and a change in the profile of the eyebrow dormer windows to hipped dormer windows (development already carried out).
