RETROSPECTIVE Application T1 Oak - Twin stem failed tree. One of the stems uprooted in very mild weather due to extensive root rot on the night of 25/06/23. This effectively removed all of the base anchoring the remaining standing stem on the windward side, leaving it entirely loaded and leaning at 45?> directly towards the house, well within the trees drop zone. There was no option to prop it due to the area beneath being tarmac and part of the car park / turning area. Nor was there a substantial tree to strap and secure it to. Remaining stem removed under the rule of exception for safety 27/06/23. Suspected underground water course in the same line running north to south which is the downward gradient from Ilkley Moors to the River. Exact same circumstance occurred February 2022 with a failed Oak tree, thoroughly rotted up through the base, which landed in the garage at the neighbouring property on Kings Road, under app 22/00910/CPN.

T1 Ash - Drawback the branches overhanging the garage and house by 2 to 3m to suitable growth points. Deadwood. T2 Sycamore - Remove the 3 lowest branches over the drive

T57 Beech - Reduce by 3m to clear gable end of house, leaving 4m spread T46 Chestnut - Lift low hanging branches to 3m for footpath and road/vehicle clearance T49 Beech - Evenly lift very low hanging Beech tree to 3.5m for clearance to garden and neighbours garage
