T1 Deodar Cedar - Fell. T2 Conifer - Fell. T3 Rowan - Fell. T1 and T2 have damaged retaining walls and driveway and need removing to stop further damage and to allow safe repair of retaining wall. T3 is directly under telephone lines and is also located within 1m of house foundations. Specifically with T1 and T2 ground movement has already occurred as retaining wall has started to fail. No proposal to plant replacement trees in place of these.

Conifer - We propose to reduce the size of the trees to 12 meters high and thin the branches to improve light to both our house and next door. This is also important from a safety perspective as the large tree is very close to the house.

The felling of five pine trees which are very tall and which are close to the house and pose a serious danger to the house in the event of high winds or root erosion. Application for trees in a Conservation Area only. No Tree Preservation Order trees are considered on this application.

Sycamore - requires crown lifting 5 metres from base, and drawing back branches by 1 metre, with 5 metres remaining, on East side, overlooking property next door, and similarly branches on all other sides, overlooking road and house roof /gutter.

T1 Sycamore - crown lift to give a clearance of 5.2metres from ground level, crown thin by 15% and laterally reduce branches growing towards house by up to 2metres to leave a final spread of approx 10metres. T2 Sycamore - crown lift to give a clearance of 5.2 metres from ground level and crown thin by 15% and laterally reduce branches growing towards the property by approx 2 metres to leave a final spread of 10 metres.

T1 & T2 Silver Birch - Crown lift removing 2.5m of growth to 5m from ground level & drawback 1m from propery side. T3 & T4 Semi Mature Oak - Crown lift removing 2.5m of growth lifting to 5m above ground level & drawback by 1m from property side. T5 Mature Ash - Crown thin by 20%, crown lift removing 2.5m of growth lifting to 5m above ground level, remove 3m of encroaching branches on garden side growing towards the house, remove growth surrounding BT pole draw back 2.5m.

T1 Copper Beech - Remove the tree as believed to be diseased. Large part of tree fell onto the house on Saturday and concerned regarding the high winds expected this week that the rest may do the same. Tree is surrounded all the way round by houses.

T1 Sycamore - Cut back lateral spread towards house to clear by 3m. Lift to 5m by removal of lowest branches, including the limb with large open cavity. Thin 20% for light allowance removing secondary growth only. This work is specific to the canopy over the side of number 5 only.

2 Conifers - Fell structural survey (attached) to show they have caused cracks and damage to the house.

1 The Heathers: Cherry - Remove. Cherry - Remove. T18 Goat Willow - Remove. T4 Oak - Draw back to clear house by 3m. 3 The Heathers: T1 Sycamore - Lift to 5m. This work is proposed for the side of 3 The Heathers only (a separate application is live for the work to the other side of the tree via house number 5). T2 3x Sycamore - Lift and reduce by around a third in height removing 4m leaving a minimum 8m overall height. T3 Sycamore - Remove lowest branch the side of 3 The Heathers. 5 The Heathers: T1 Sycamore - Cut back lateral spread towards house to clear by 3m. Lift to 5m, including the limb with large open cavity. Thin 20% removing secondary growth only. This work is specific to the canopy over the side of number 5 only. 7 The Heathers: Please see photos for colour references: Clear all new self seeded whips and saplings marked with yellow under 75mm dbh. (Retaining staked trees planted as part of the development conditions). 4x mixed deciduous juniors - Remove. All marked with red under 200mm dbh. Green dots are specimen mature trees for retention to comply with the TPO. T1 Hawthorn - Remove, dead. T2 Elm - Remove, dead. T3 Sycamore - Remove. T4 Yew - Remove.
