T1 Deodar Cedar - Fell. T2 Conifer - Fell. T3 Rowan - Fell. T1 and T2 have damaged retaining walls and driveway and need removing to stop further damage and to allow safe repair of retaining wall. T3 is directly under telephone lines and is also located within 1m of house foundations. Specifically with T1 and T2 ground movement has already occurred as retaining wall has started to fail. No proposal to plant replacement trees in place of these.

Conifer - We propose to reduce the size of the trees to 12 meters high and thin the branches to improve light to both our house and next door. This is also important from a safety perspective as the large tree is very close to the house.

The felling of five pine trees which are very tall and which are close to the house and pose a serious danger to the house in the event of high winds or root erosion. Application for trees in a Conservation Area only. No Tree Preservation Order trees are considered on this application.

Demolition of York House (Idlethorp Way, Thorpe Edge, BD10 9ES) which is an existing residential building and commercial uses on ground floor. The proposal involves the demolition of the entire building, building slab and car parking hardstanding.

Sycamore - requires crown lifting 5 metres from base, and drawing back branches by 1 metre, with 5 metres remaining, on East side, overlooking property next door, and similarly branches on all other sides, overlooking road and house roof /gutter.

T1 Copper Beech - Remove the tree as believed to be diseased. Large part of tree fell onto the house on Saturday and concerned regarding the high winds expected this week that the rest may do the same. Tree is surrounded all the way round by houses.

RETROSPECTIVE Application T1 Oak - Twin stem failed tree. One of the stems uprooted in very mild weather due to extensive root rot on the night of 25/06/23. This effectively removed all of the base anchoring the remaining standing stem on the windward side, leaving it entirely loaded and leaning at 45?> directly towards the house, well within the trees drop zone. There was no option to prop it due to the area beneath being tarmac and part of the car park / turning area. Nor was there a substantial tree to strap and secure it to. Remaining stem removed under the rule of exception for safety 27/06/23. Suspected underground water course in the same line running north to south which is the downward gradient from Ilkley Moors to the River. Exact same circumstance occurred February 2022 with a failed Oak tree, thoroughly rotted up through the base, which landed in the garage at the neighbouring property on Kings Road, under app 22/00910/CPN.

Additional solar panels to the existing solar installation on the roof of Yorkshire House

T1 Willow and T2 Maple - Reduce by a third in height removing 3m max, remaining 6m. Prune to clear house by 3m. T3 Magnolia - Remove and not replace G1 Hawthorn, Holly, Ivy mix (keep flowering shrub) - Remove. Relocate the sapling Rowan under the cherry to this area. T4 Cherry - Lightly trim top removing 2m max of thin leggy growth, remaining 3.5m height

1 x Yew and 2 x Sycamore - Trim back overhang of building and dry stone wall to achieve a 2.5m clearance from Moravian House
