The current bracing was installed around 2008 due to the low weak fork, and the manufacturers recommendations state they should be replaced every 8 years. The British Standard Tree Work - Recommendations 3998:2010 also advise that the installation of a bracing system is accompanied by pruning to reduce the loading on weak structures in the tree.
