Notice of intent to carry out works to trees in a Conservation Area:- Multi stem Sycamore tree to be cut down due to it starting to die. Customer to replant with smaller specimen.

Notice of intent to carry out works to trees protected by Tree Preservation Order TPO: 16/13 Oak tree: 1. Crown Height Reduction: The tree's crown should be reduced in height by approximately 15 feet from its current lowest overhanging branches. This will help minimize the extent of overhanging branches while maintaining the natural shape and balance of the crown. 2. Clearance from Property: The overhanging branches should be pruned to provide a minimum clearance of 10 feet from any structures, boundaries, or areas of your property where the encroachment is problematic. This will alleviate concerns regarding excessive shading and potential hazards posed by falling debris. 3. Selective Branch Removal: Careful consideration should be given to the selection of branches for removal. Dead, damaged, or diseased branches should be prioritized, followed by any branches causing immediate interference with structures or obstructing desired views. The removal of healthy branches should be minimized to the extent possible to preserve the tree's natural form. 4. Pruning Techniques: The crown lifting process should employ appropriate pruning techniques, such as drop-crotch or natural target pruning, to minimize the potential for bark tearing, branch damage, or disease introduction. The cuts should be made just outside the branch collar or bark ridge, following industry best practices for pruning TPO-protected trees.
