1A Ship Street Gardens Brighton Brighton & Hove BN1 1AJ

Felling of the trunk of a Fig tree that is diseased with Root Knot Nematode. The Fig tree trunk leans very close the the boundary wall and has branches that extend across and over the boundary wall. The tree has caused many cracks in this wall resulting in the lifting of several garden stones. I am concerned over the house foundations being safe and the sewer than runs directly underneath may become blockaged as their roots are likely to get into them . The Fig lost one of its main limbs last year due to this disease and has more weight on one side than the other making it more susceptible to falling which could cause harm or damage if it were to fall. I have been advise by a tree surgeon that it would be best to cut the tree down and replant a new Fig sapling in a better location.

14 Queens Park Road Brighton Brighton & Hove BN2 0GL

T1 - Lime Pollard to historic points (by 2.5m). Remove furnishing growth Remove one scaffold limb overhanging the garage. Total tree height will be left at approximately 8 metres. The subject tree is a lime tree apart of a line of lime trees that is council owned and is located on the southeast corner of Queens Park. The crown is overhanging the property of 14 Queens Park Road. The works proposed are to allow space for the extension that is due to be built at the client???s property of no 14. The works are unable to go ahead until the tree has been pollarded and the one scaffold limb on the upper crown that overhangs the garage is removed to source. This will allow sufficient room for the building works to proceed. given the vigorous growth of lime, the proposal is unlikely to have an adverse impact either on the health of the tree or the character and amenities of the local area. The trees have been Historically pollarded in the past and this process is part of an ongoing management plan in order to keep the tree to a suitable size for its location. Please see photo for reference of intended works Entrance of Drive up to 1m from Garage H2 - Eunyomous Trim back to boundary line to neaten Free of Charge On Acceptance Of Quote In Full Rest of Hedge H2 - Eunyomous Reduce back from property by 2 metres to allow space for the erection of scaffolding. H2 is a line of euonymus that surrounds the 3 limes on the boundary of queen???s park to number 14. The proposed works will allow for the erection of scaffolding necessary to carry out the extension works to the property. ALL ITEMS INCLUDING REMOVING ARISING DEBRIS, LEAVING SITE CLEAN AND TIDY.
