23 Lewes Crescent Brighton Brighton & Hove BN2 1GB

T1: The silver birch tree is damaging the surrounding original paving and pathways, causing cracking and upheaval, and its roots are also a concern for the under-garden vaults below and are a likely cause of the ingress of water to these areas. There is the likelihood further damage to these vaults and pathways if left unaddressed. T2: The Elder is a young self-sown tree that is growing right against the boundary wall between 23 and 24 Lewes Crescent, causing damage to the wall and the pathway in the garden of 23 Lewes Crescent. As with T1, its roots are also likely to be causing problems with water ingress into the under garden vaults below. We are applying to remove both of these trees before we do any further work to the garden and vaults below. Please see attached a sketch plan.

41 Montpelier Road Brighton Brighton & Hove BN1 3BA

The removal of two eucalyptus trees from the rear garden of 41 Montpelier road. The trees were planted approximately 8/9 years ago - shortly before we purchased the property. They continue to grow very fast and have outgrown their position. Their retaining wall is cracked. One of the trees leans towards a neighbour and during high winds it look unstable. Should one or both trees fall they would cause damage to ours and possibly our neighbours property and/or traditional stone boundary walls.

13 Harrington Road Brighton Brighton & Hove BN1 6RE

The client is currently refurbing their garden area with plans to build an office space to the rear of the garden by items G5 & T4 so are aiming to clear the surrounding vegetation for the works. Item T3 is situated between 2 garden sheds and is starting to get too large for its location with the client growing increasingly concerned on branches/limbs falling and causing damage. The remaining items (T2 And G1) are to create a more open garden space. There are various other trees and shrubs growing up the boundary lines within the garden so the suggested works would have little impact on the amenity value of the garden and surrounding area.

Fenceline of 36 Nevill Road T1 - Sycamore Fell completely in sections, using lowering ropes where necessary. Apply systemic herbicide to stump to prevent re-growth. T2 - Entrance to Play Area T2 - Sycamore Reduce crown by 1 to 2 metres, shaping and balancing accordingly. Thin crown by 10% Cut back to give 1 to 1.5 metres clearance from the building ALL ITEMS INCLUDING REMOVING ARISING DEBRIS, LEAVING SITE CLEAN AND TIDY. T1 is a sycamore overhanging a private property from the boundary line of the wooded area in the school grounds. The majority of the crown is overhanging the private property due to the growth suppression on the woodland side. The annual leaf drop, honey dew and other detritus has damaged garden structures and killed pond fish in the garden, causing distress to the residents. Removal of the tree will prevent recurrence of these distressing incidents. T2 is situated on the boundary line between the play area and Old Place Court. It is a multi-stemmed sycamore overhanging the playground and nearly touching the corner of the building adjacent. The intended works would reduce the overhang to the playground and adjacent building whilst also maintaining the tree at a suitable size for the location. This would not be detrimental to the tree nor effect the amenity value.

Neighbours Tree - Front Drive T1 - Beech Remove lowest limb growing over drive. Reduce mid crown by 2-3m. Reduce top corner to shape and balance. Cut back low overhang growth back to wall line. The reducing works for the upper crown would be miner, approximately 0.5 to 1m for shaping and balancing. There is also low overhanging growth from a limb that's over on property 9. Overhang extends approximately 1.5m with intended works to cutback overhang to boundary or near boundary line.
