1 Fircroft Close Brighton Brighton & Hove BN1 6RY

Yew tree (only one tree) - reduce & re-shape Crown & sides of the tree by three meters. The tree is so large that it is overhanging the roof & walls of neighbours at 3 Fircroft Close, it is also overhanging our garage (1 Fircroft Close) - leaf drop is blocking the guttering on both properties. I am concerned of the risk the tree poses to the identified buildings, it is leaning towards the garage of 1 Fircroft Close & property at 3 Fircroft Close. Considering the recent Autumn / Winter storms we've had, I'm desperate to reduce the canopy size before Autumn to minimise the chances of it being blown over & damaging these buildings in a storm. The tree trunk /base is located two meters away from the garage wall belonging to us (1 Fircroft Close) & five meters away from the wall of 3 Fircroft Close. Neighbours at both 4 & 6 Fircroft Close have complained to me that the tree is blocking their light & would like the tree reduced in size.

Dorothy Stringer School Loder Road Brighton Brighton & Hove BN1 6PZ

T1-Horse Chestnut: Fell and replant with a suitable replacement elsewhere in the school grounds. The tree is growing incredibly close to the northern garage wall and the house. Fell the tree due to being an unsuitable species to be so close to the garage and house. At this stage it has low amenity value ( The tree is a young self seeded tree 8m high with a stem diameter of approx 20cm) and would need constant management to retain so close to both buildings. Replant with another native species further from the house and garage where it could be left to develop to maturity with minimal need for further management.

T1- Elm tree- reduce top lateral branches by a maximum of 3 meters and southern and eastern lateral branches by a maximum of 5 meters This tree has a misshapen crown and is weighted to the south and east as there was another tree that it grew alongside to the north, this tree has died and now the elm does not have the shared crown space that it once had and is this heavily weighted and missing its counterbalance to the north and west. Group 1- 8 juvenile sycamore saplings (all just over 10/15cms at 1.3 meters high)- fell to ground level- too close to garage retaining wall.

T1 - Lime Pollard to historic points (by 2.5m). Remove furnishing growth Remove one scaffold limb overhanging the garage. Total tree height will be left at approximately 8 metres. The subject tree is a lime tree apart of a line of lime trees that is council owned and is located on the southeast corner of Queens Park. The crown is overhanging the property of 14 Queens Park Road. The works proposed are to allow space for the extension that is due to be built at the client???s property of no 14. The works are unable to go ahead until the tree has been pollarded and the one scaffold limb on the upper crown that overhangs the garage is removed to source. This will allow sufficient room for the building works to proceed. given the vigorous growth of lime, the proposal is unlikely to have an adverse impact either on the health of the tree or the character and amenities of the local area. The trees have been Historically pollarded in the past and this process is part of an ongoing management plan in order to keep the tree to a suitable size for its location. Please see photo for reference of intended works Entrance of Drive up to 1m from Garage H2 - Eunyomous Trim back to boundary line to neaten Free of Charge On Acceptance Of Quote In Full Rest of Hedge H2 - Eunyomous Reduce back from property by 2 metres to allow space for the erection of scaffolding.
