Car Park T1 - Bay (10m) Reduce height by 50% (approx 4-5m) leaving a height of approx 5m from ground level. Reduce spread by approx 2m. T1 Is a Bay tree in the south eastern corner of the rear car park to the block of flats 56 Palmeira Ave. It stands at approx. 9m tall. There is a substantial amount of general tree detritus, including some reasonable size branches, falling onto the cars parked in the car park. The suggested works will not be detrimental to the tree nor affect its amenity value, it will however alleviate these problems, which will only increase if not addressed.

If left unattended they will outgrow their environment and cause stress and apprehension. The proposal is unlikely to have an adverse impact either on the health of the tree or the character and amenities of the local area.

T1, 2,3,4, - Sycamores, to be reduced by approx 3m in height. Lateral branches accordingly. As with all other sycamores on site what have already been approved and completed this year. These threes were missed off last application. T5. Lime Tree. Diseased. The wound is easily seen in the stem which is approx 5" deep and sounding very hollow. We prepose a take down. Its around 50ft tall with houses and flats on both sides.

T1 Beech - This tree has a large cavity around 15 feet. We have climbed the tree and inspected the wound and was able to insert rebar into it to a depth of well over 3 feet without reaching the bottom. The cavity also runs for 2 feet laterally and 18" from side to side. This tree is approximately 50 + feet and has a bias towards the neighbouring flats, presenting unacceptable danger should the fail around this very real weak spot in the stem. It is, in my opinion, an accident waiting to happen. I'm not ever keen to remove trees, unless they pose a danger to life or property. Therefore, we prepose that the tree be section felled for public safety. T2 Beech - Tip prune of not more than 1-2 meters of the entire canopy. This is to keep the tree from outgrowing its surroundings, ie the flats adjacent to Prestonville Court T3 - T11 Sycamores - Reduce height by approx 3meters and reduce lateral branches where necessary to keep shape of the trees General maintenance of these trees have not been done for several years I believe.
