Replacement of part of existing front boundary hedge with one metre of wall and one metre of fence above, demolition of the garage, relocation of vehicle crossover and creation of driveway with associated works.

T1: The silver birch tree is damaging the surrounding original paving and pathways, causing cracking and upheaval, and its roots are also a concern for the under-garden vaults below and are a likely cause of the ingress of water to these areas. There is the likelihood further damage to these vaults and pathways if left unaddressed. T2: The Elder is a young self-sown tree that is growing right against the boundary wall between 23 and 24 Lewes Crescent, causing damage to the wall and the pathway in the garden of 23 Lewes Crescent. As with T1, its roots are also likely to be causing problems with water ingress into the under garden vaults below. We are applying to remove both of these trees before we do any further work to the garden and vaults below. Please see attached a sketch plan.

Rear Garden - Back Boundary T1 - Willow Reduce height by 3 to 4m. Shaping and balancing sides accordingly. Willow: Historically the tree has been pollarded. The works are to now to be maintained at a suitable size for the location. The works will not be detrimental, nor will it affect the amenity value. Fig: Due to the location, the client has decided to remove the tree as there seems to be some minor damage to the adjacent wall. Silver Birch: Due to the location, the client has decided to remove the tree. The tree grows from the middle of the patio and had started to lift the surrounding paving slabs. Rear Garden - Left Side H2 - Conifer Reduce back to near fence line. Rear Garden - Right Side T3 - Fig Fell and grind. Rear Garden - Right Side T4 - Silver Birch Fell to ground level. Please note - For the Conifers we ( Connick ) will require written permission from the tree owners before works can be carried out. Queens Park Terrace Boundary T1 - Cherry Reduce crown by 1 to 2 metres to reduce the overall crown weight. T2 - Cherry Plum Reduce east side of the crown by 1 to 1.5 metres. Reduce height by 0.5 metres, shaping and balancing accordingly. ALL ITEMS INCLUDING REMOVING ARISING DEBRIS, LEAVING SITE CLEAN AND TIDY. The intended work for both trees is for rebalancing the crowns which are leaning to the east and to reduce away from the pavement. There is also an old wound at the base of the cherry on the west side. The work would not be detrimental nor affect amenity value of the trees.
