Rear Garden by House T1 - Bay Fell as close to ground level as possible. T1 is a bay tree in the rear garden of number 6 Montpellier Terrace. The tree is very close to the property, located on the retaining wall for the basement level windows to the rear of the house. The crown is in occasional contact with the external wall of the building, blocking light and retaining moisture near the rear wall, windows and back door of the house. The roots of the tree are also damaging the retaining wall. Removal of the tree will prevent further damage. Stump of above Apply systemic herbicide to stump to prevent re-growth. ALL ITEMS INCLUDING REMOVING ARISING DEBRIS, LEAVING SITE CLEAN AND TIDY.

Repollarding this tree will enable retention of the tree, and reduce the risk of further root movement. Rear Garden, Left Hand Side T2 - Twin Stemmed Sycamore Reduce crown all round by approximately 3 to 5 metres to remove growth towards the windows and balance the crown. DEBRIS THROUGH HOUSE, USE PLASTIC SHEET FOR PROTECTION T3 - Sycamore Reduce crown all round by approximately 3 to 4 metres to leave a smaller, neater, more balanced crown. DEBRIS THROUGH HOUSE, USE PLASTIC SHEET FOR PROTECTION T2 and T3 are in the rear garden of the property, which is sloping uphill from the house. Several branches are in close proximity with the building structure and windows and have been previously reduced to alleviate potential damage to property. The continuing uphill elevation of the garden also makes the trees taller against the rear of the property, than their actual heights, blocking light from the garden and to the interior of the property. The suggested works will alleviate both the potential damage to the property issue, and the lack of light experienced by the resident.

T1 is an Elm located to the northern eastern aspect of the property. The western side of the crown is in close proximity to the building and the northern aspect of the crown hangs over Denmark Mews, an entrance road to the properties along Denmark Mews. It is cause of unreasonable shade to the front elevation of the property and surrounding area. The trees proximity to the property is causing anxiety to the residents. Pruning to this tree is part of a routine maintenance program, there is evidence of a historic prune. The specified works will add amenity value to the tree and the aesthetics of the property will be greatly improved. T2 is a dominating palm tree that is up against the upper window of Denmark House. The maintenance requirements of the tree contribute to the ever-increasing stressful quality of life. There are several other desirable and dominant trees of better shape within proximity to the palm. Its offers little amenity value being so intrusive to the window of the property and is causing distress to the residents.
