9 self seeded sycamore trees to be felled and their stumps poisoned

Sycamore (T1): Removal to ground level and replacement tree planted. The tree is comprised of two stems linked with a compromised union . The front stem of the tree is beginning to die back from the bottom upwards and multiple bottom branches are now dead. There is fungal growth from an old wound which suggests there may be decay in the lower stem. The client has safety concerns and also concerns over damage to a pathway which would occur if the stem was to fail. Ash (T2): Removal to ground level and replacement tree planted. Tree is showing signs of ash dieback

T1 - Cedar- (northern of 2 Cedar trees) All limbs on eastern side of the tree, over no. 6 Wayland Heights 1x limb at 1.5 meters high (on main stem) reduce limb length by 4 meters 2x limbs at 3 meters high(on main stem) remove to main stem 2x limbs at 8 meters high- reduce length by 3 meters 2x limbs at 10 meters high- reduce length by 3 meters Reasons- reduce overhang over no.6 Wayland Heights

G1- Group of 9 Sycamores- fell and poison stumps as some trees are showing signs of decay. The retaining wall is showing signs of strain and actual damage.

We would like to remove 'T11' Tilia X Euchlora-lime tree from the back end of our car park, we would like to remove the tree in its entirety as well as the bank that it is growing from. We are proposing to remove this one tree completely. Brighthelm would like to remove this one tree to enable us to resurface our car park and enable us to maximise the space available, this is the only tree of our collection that we are looking to remove. The secondary reason is the proximity to the Brighthelm Cottages, as shown on the plan. The neighbour is concerned of the likelihood of issues arising relating to a tree of this size less than 10 feet from his historic cottage. With both of our needs benefiting from the removal of this tree, and in turn the bank at the end of the car park, we will be able to ensure no future subsidence or damage to the property. We will also be able to remove the bank at the back of the car park, which is frequented by drug users and rough sleepers. The impact on the preservation of the beautiful Brighthelm Garden will be untouched, as the main garden and existing trees throughout the car park will not be touched.

Rear garden: T1 Horse Chestnut Remove 2x lowest primary branches facing S/E and S/W Crown reduce southerly aspect of middle and upper canopy by 1-1.5m to shape and balance crown proportions. Reason: To balance crown proportions and reduce excessive shade to surrounding property.

Tree no.13 - Cut back to origin/base of trunk small diameter branch that originates at base of trunk to south. To abate concern over failure of part due to exposed wound and dysfunctional wood in lower section of branch. Note: several epicormic branches at base of trunk to south have been cut back in the past.

T1 is a walnut tree adjacent to the property. Regular maintenance, including crown reductions, have maintained the tree at a manageable size for its location for many years. It has reached the stage where the neighbour???s driveway and the residents retaining wall are starting to become damaged by the trees extensive root system. Felling the tree will prevent further damage to property.
