T1 is a willow overhanging a residential car parking area. It has been reported that several branches have fallen out recently, and on inspection, there is evidence of dead, decayed and broken stumps. Necrotic bark continues down the stem to approximately 4-5m above ground level, whereupon a cavity and corresponding reactive wound wood is being laid down. The suggested works, namely a heavy reduction, to remove the necrosis and soft decay, will alleviate the potential for further failure, while leaving the cavity with very little weight upon it, as natural habitat. T3 is a twin stemmed ceanothus. One stem of which has completely snapped off just above ground level, and the second stem is leaning heavily on a wooden fence, which has broken as a result. The leaving stem is approximately 4-5m in length and has no pruning points available to which to prune into shape. Removal is the most desirable option for the resident
