The existing hedgerow provides security and screening to the rear of our property, as immediately outside our boundary is a public footpath running along a field edge and which is in regular use. The hedgerow has not been maintained over many years and was fully overgrown with Ivy, which provided screening all year round. We have removed the ivy as part of our garden maintenance, which has identified large gaps in the hedge at ground level, and the deciduous hedge does not provide screening to our garden and property. The result is that both screening and security are inadequate. We require to replace the existing hedgerow with an evergreen hedge to provide screening, and of sufficient height and depth to provide security.
