FIVE DAY NOTICE - A single mature Syacmore tree that stands approximately 23-24metres high on the outer edge of a wooded area overlooking the Courtyards. This tree is unsafe and at risk wind thrown which will cause structural damages to the neighbouring property of no.20 as well as risk to life. The tree is failing due to the loss of the internal heartwood in the main stem at ground level and to a height of aproximatley 2.5metres. Dismantle/remove the tree in its entirety leaving the stump at ground level. No.20 is within the falling height of the tree at 18 metres. The rear garden fence is one metre away from the main stem.

T.1 Lime - Fell to ground level and remove stump. Tree has been suppressed and is in decline from mature neighboring Sycamore trees T.2 Walnut - Fell to ground level and remove stump windblown tree H.2 Ivy, sycamore self sets - fell and remove stump on mixed hedgerow to install new fence for security to school and re plant with suitable various shrubs. T.3 Hornbeam - Reduce over extended branch by 2M to reduce end weight and prevent failure. T.6 - T.12 Lime x6. Crown lift to a height of 7M from ground level and remove Barrell growth from base of trees.

Works as identified by Writtle Forest Consultancy in Survey Schedule of July 2022 : Trees in coloured/shaded circles on Tree Survey Plan : T2412 Sycamore at 19 High Street ~ Self-seeded tree growing against boundary fence - fell to ground level. T2422 Plum at 22 High Street ~ Reduce crown in height by 3.0 metres and 4.0 metres laterally to reduce weight and load above decay, of which there is some evidence at base.

G.1 Group of 10 Sycamore trees. Fell to ground level low amenity trees. Trees to be removed and new boundary fence and shrubs / trees to be planted as replacemnt T.1 Ash - Fell to ground level Ash tree in decline - Ash dieback H.2 - Conifer hedgerow - Fell to ground level hedge in 'L' shape due to dieback garden side. Re plant with Yew T.3 Lime - fell to ground level self seeded tree T.4 Sycamore - Fell sucker shoots x3 to allow more light and space to re landscape area.

T1 Elder - fell (this tree straddles the boundary between 31and 32 High Street and has reached a height of about 7.5m. It is too close to 32 and is also preventing erection of a boundary fence between the two properties) T2 Cherry - reduce by 1.5 metres to achieve overall height of 5.5.metres smaller branches are interfering with the overhead telephone cables.

T1 Ash - remove branches shown in photo. T2 Field Maple - laterally prune back to fence line by removing 3 metres of growth. T3 Alder - laterally prune back to fence line by removing3 metres of growth.

Proposal: H.1 - Mixed line of trees mainly Ash and Beech at land adjacent to the boundary fencing with Melbourn Hub and Brooksbank. Reduce height by approx 10 metres to roof apex of Melbourn Hub and number 1 Brooksbank. Some individual trees may be left taller as specified by Kays Close owners to provide some height variability. T4. Sycamore (on right hand side of garden, on boundary, picket fence has been erected with a gap to accommodate buttress roots) Much of crown overhanging adjacent property. Crown lift to clear sheds giving 4m ground clearance, remove major dead wood and inspect union at 3m. T9. Ash (close to rear left hand corner of garden, 5.5m from rear boundary wall. Large primary limb growing to South, overhanging roof of adjacent house. Crown reduce from 3-6m and remove dead wood
