5x Plum Trees - Large specimens with heavy limbs growing over fence line into 3rd party gardens causing significant damage to both fences and sheds. With risk of damage to walls. Fell all 5 trees to 0.5m from ground level, this is to allow regeneration to unmanaaged trees. Due to poor garden access, all waste and works to be undertaken from Henry Giles House car park.

T1 -Sycamore - Remove lesser stem leaning towards house to provide a 3m clearance between the house and the tree. T2 - Mature Sycamore - Sympathetic Crown reduction to growth points of 1.5m - to reduce risk of failure at the fungal decay points and also reduce shade. T3 - Mature Horse Chestnut - Crown reduction of 1.5m to growth points to alleviate sail and weight. Removal of deadwood. T4 - Sycamore - Fell tree has a progressive lean towards the neighbors house. On closer inspection the left hand bifurcation exhibits a lot of bark loss on the tension side of the lean. This is evident throughout the upper crown. The other concern is the proximity of the root plate to the neighbors foundations. T5 - Sycamore - Crown reduction of 2m to growth points to allevaite weight and sail and reduce risk to public and traffic . This tree has a heavy lean over the road and has very poor form due to previous phototropism. It has recently shed several large branches over the road, one narrowly missing a member of the public apparently. T6 - Sycamore - Crown thin 15% to alleviate sail and improve light below also removal of deadwood. T7 - Sycamore - Crown thin 15% to alleviate sail and improve light below, also remove deadwood.

T4. Sycamore (on right hand side of garden, on boundary, picket fence has been erected with a gap to accommodate buttress roots) Much of crown overhanging adjacent property. Crown lift to clear sheds giving 4m ground clearance, remove major dead wood and inspect union at 3m. T9. Ash (close to rear left hand corner of garden, 5.5m from rear boundary wall. Large primary limb growing to South, overhanging roof of adjacent house. Crown reduce from 3-6m and remove dead wood

(T1) Cotoneaster - Poor form, remove to ground level (T2) Prunus - reduce laterals over garden heading towards the house by 3.5 meters to reduce the risk of end loading and reduce stems heading towards left hand boundary by 3 meters to match epicormics, forming a new top crown. (T3) Apple - reduce in height by 2 meters to suitable laterals and formative prune remaining weeping crown by a maximum of 1 meter to improve form. (T4) Yew - remove branch leaning on shed roof (T5) Plumb - poor form self set, remove to ground level (T6) Goat Willow - reduce back from property by 1.5 meters, to avoid damage to building.

(T1) Oak - reduce lower, middle and top crown on the house side only by 2 meters away from the house. (T2) Oak (neighbours tree) - remove lowest lateral heading toward the shed. - reduce branches on lawn side by 2 meters back to the fence line. - reduce epicormics by 1 meters back to fence line. This tree has previously had 2 limbs 'split out' on to the clients shed, the above work is to reduce the risk of further failure.

Tree 1: Wild Cherry - Prune to shape, so as branches do not touch house or obscure road sign and driveway - reduction from current height of 6 metres to height of 4.5 metres (25% =1.5 metre cut back) Tree 2: Walnut - Remove branches overhanging Shed/Pool House - reduce back by 1 metre Tree 3: Hazel - Reduce crown by 2.5 metres to allow light to rear neighbours garden Tree 4: Crab Apple - Reduce crown by 1.5 metres Tree 5: Eucalyptus - reduce crown by 6 metres

T1 and T2 Willows (rear shed area): Remove major deadwood. T3 Sycamore (dead near footpath): Fell to as near to ground level as possible. Tree is dead. T4 Lime (small growing within Willow): Fell to as near to ground level as possible. Poor suppressed specimen. T5 Prunus: Remover lower deadwood. T6 Willow (near swimming pool): Remove snapped stub, clear fallen limb. To correct and clear storm damage. T7 Cedar: Remove lowest limb towards house. Low over extended limb. Works to improve appearance of tree and allow light to understorey. T8 Indian Bean tree: Raise crown by 0.5m, remove deadwood. Maintenenance.

T1- Willow- reduce middle crown over shed, gooseberries and vegetable patch by 1.5m to improve light to plants below whilst maintaining a good shape. Reduce top crown on house side by 1.5m to improve form.

Dangerous Tree We asked a tree surgeon to examine a large ash tree on our northern border with no. 20 High Street. This tree is the one with the large growth of ivy, not normally a problem but it acts like a huge sail in high winds. The tree trunk has started to sway noticeably (1 metre each way) when it is windy and is creaking ominously. The tree surgeon Simon Stevenson discovered that the trunk is rather hollow and rotten and is home to oyster fungus. So as an urgent safety matter we are proposing to remove the tree before we and / or our neighbours to the south at no. 16 get the full benefit when it falls over and demolishes various sheds / people etc. The tree surgeons will need to secure the tree while they are doing their aerial work, I think by roping it to sound large trees around the tree being cut down. I guess this will mean tying it to a couple of Jamie Buchanan's trees at no. 20 to prevent the tree falling southwards when the chaps are working up high. I know that the normal planning process takes six weeks. In this case I ask you to approve the emergency removal of this tree as a priority before we have damage to people and property.

G1 limes to the front of the house. Only dead or hazardous branch removal. T1 copper beech only remove hazardous branches or deadwood. T2 cut leafed Birch. Specimen is in decline. Recommend removal due to close proximity to high footfall path. I would suggest the removal of this tree be undertaken before schools open (September) to minimize risk to school children who frequently use the footpath. T4 Tulip, Cut branches back to give 1.5m clearance from neighbours shed.
