Scott's Pine (T1) - Fell due to excessive shading of garden and close proximity to annex/ home office.

Ash tree at rear 19 Hurst Park Ave - Remove tertiray branches over hanging the top of the building at the Roger Ascam Centre (Cambridge Registry Office) to create a 2m clearance

T1- Lime- re pollard removing 4m of growth to maintan in its current location. T2- Laurel- cut back to fence line removing 2m. T3- Yew- cut back from building to clear by 1.5m removing 1m. T4- Laburnum- reduce back from offices by 1.5m.

Reserved Matters Approval of appearance, landscape, layout and scale for strategic green infrastructure, and the construction of a decked car park to support the Translational Office Space Project Building (TOSP), at the Genome Wellcome Campus (Outline reference: S/4329/18/OL) comprising: hard and soft landscape works, ecological mitigation and enhancement works; creation of pedestrian routes; tree removal and replacement and additional planting; provision of street furniture; construction of a decked car park including improvements to an existing access and pedestrian routes; drainage and utilities infrastructure; lighting, and all associated temporary construction operations, engineering works, demolition and groundworks and remodelling.

It is the intention to install a timber garden room in the rear garden of the property. The building will be a suitable distance from the two trees which have a TPO and which are shown on the accompanying sketch plan. The company installing the building (Smart Garden Offices) are aware of the protected root system and plan to use a ground-screw piling system which enables them to avoid roots if they are encountered. There is no work to the trees themselves planned as part of this build.

T2 Silver Birch - Reduce 3 lateral limbs by up to 1.5 metres. T3 Apple in office garden - Reduce height by approximately 1.5 metres and laterals by 0.5 metre and carry out general prune of remaining crown.

T2) Sycamore - Fell to ground level - This tree has a significant decay cavity in the trunk at about 1.2m above ground level. As can be seen for accompanying photos and sketch plan this tree is wedged between the adjacent barn, the village shop/post office and has part of the crown overhanging the pavement and road. Extent of decay exceeds 1/3 sound wood to 2/3 decay wood (Mattheck, Bethge, Holdenrieder), and although the tree could remain standing for some time it would be prudent, concerning its position, to remove sooner rather than later. T3) Acacia - Crown reduce by 20% (1.2m.), thin by 15% and remove deadwood - To maintain at a size (and branch weight) that befits its position. This tree is adjacent to the boundary wall, pavement and road.
