Beech - raise canopy to clear roof of house by 2m. Raise remainder of crown on all sides by 1.5m. trim to clear telephone line by 1-1.5m. All removing tertiary branches only. abate of nuisance Norway Maple - raise canopy on all sides by 1-1.5m, removing tertiary branches inly Remove deadwood throughout crown abate of nuisance Birch - remove ivy and deadwood, reduce spread on all sides by up to 2-2.5m, taper into upper crown and retain current height management of over extended limbs on all sides to prevent further spread. No reduction in height.

Beech (T1) -Remove lowest large lateral stem back to main stem over property and remove 3 other branches back to main stems over roof of house. Hornbeam (T2) -Remove 2 lower branches over roof of house, reduce remaining branches over roof by 1.5-2m and remove deadwood over 20mm in diameter.

T3 Alder, T4 Alder and T5 Alder (TPO/05/2023) Reduce height on all trees to allow trees to stand at 8 metres and remove branches growing towards the house to give a clearance of 4 metres. After we moved into this House, we found that the front eaves and the back roof keep on dripping. According to the inspection of the operator (from the Hill and Cambridge City Council co developer) on 16 March, it is because of the accumulation of leaves, flowers and fruits in the drains, since the three big trees too high even cover all the roof. Even after cleaned, it will happen again monthly. Please give us permission to have tree top trimming so that the three trees are just lower that the roof bottom (i.e. the horizontal rainwater collection pipes), in order to prevent roof drains from being blocked and to protect the roof structure.

T1 Alder. Crown lift to create a 5.5 clearance over ground, tip-end reduce lower laterals over road back in line with upper canopy (as indicated on photo). Crown lift/reduce over house to create a 1.5 clearance to roof.

T4. Sycamore (on right hand side of garden, on boundary, picket fence has been erected with a gap to accommodate buttress roots) Much of crown overhanging adjacent property. Crown lift to clear sheds giving 4m ground clearance, remove major dead wood and inspect union at 3m. T9. Ash (close to rear left hand corner of garden, 5.5m from rear boundary wall. Large primary limb growing to South, overhanging roof of adjacent house. Crown reduce from 3-6m and remove dead wood

Tree 1 (Horse Chestnut) - Fell. Substantial fungal fruiting bodies of Kretzschmaria deusta wood decay fungus at base of trunk on south side (aggressive pathogen causing embrittlement of wood). Tree leaning east over adjoining gardens. Tree at significant risk of falling without further warning (see photograph). Tree 2 (Wellingtonia) - Reduce laterals overhanging house roof by 2 metres and remove lowest three sub-branches from underside of low south-western lateral overhanging the road at Vicarage Close (photograph shows positions of cuts) and crown clean to remove stubs and hanging-up branches. Tree has long-term and very recent history of spontaneous shedding of large, heavy branches and has recently caused significant damage to the house roof.

T1 SEMI MATURE AILANTHUS in close proximity to listed property (15 Home End) ~ the roots are already beginning to uplift the public pavement. Ailanthus do not respond well to crown reduction, as regrowth will be multiple with this species and susceptible to breaking off with the potential target area being the public road. The crown is wide and spreading and could start to cause damp issues to the thatched roof of No. 15 within a few years as well as potential structural damage to this Grade 11 listed property. It is an unsuitable specimen for this position with limited crown management options and still a young tree which could reach a mature height of 25ms+. Therefore remove tree now and replant with more suitable species for this location, ie; ~ Magnolia, Field Maple or Whitebeam.

Red Horse Chestnut - Shorten longest branch in middle crown by 2m to reduce weight above neighbours roof. Red Horse Chestnut - Shorten longest limb growing above path and road by 2m, shape into remainder of canopy. Cypress - Trim back to clear roof and gutters by 2m Yew - Trim back on house side only to clear gutters by 3-3.5m, taper into remainder of canopy. Reasons - Group TPO - Reduce weight of limbs above highway and footpath.

1) Monterey Cyprus - remove lowest branch over flower bed 2) Ash - reduce long thin lowest branch by about 4m to suitable secondary growth (to clear holly) 3) Holly - shape by reducing height by 3m and sides by up to 0.5m 4) Birch - remove lowest branch which is resting on the roof 5) Thuja - remove dying branch rubbing on fence 6) Thuja - prune side of canopy back to clear house by 1m

T1 Purple plum - reduce sides by 2m, cut away from neighbouring roof. T2 Willow leaved pear - reduce height by 1.5m, lift to 1.8m, remove deadwood, trim sides. T8 Apple - reduce away from roof, reduce height and sides by 1m. T11 Sycamore - cut back from house by 2m. Reasons - to maintain tree size and shape, reduce leaf drop and keep the garden light.
