T1 platanus hispanica- located in the campinille. To be crown raised to 4m and re-growth from a previous reduction to be thinned by 50% T2 Juglans regia- located in the campinille. To be removed. the tree has previously been heavily pruned and due to it's location to world heritage site archives we feel it appropriate to remove this tree which is in the wrong place T3 Ilex Aquifolium- located on the main precinct by the west door to the Cathedral. To be removed due to it's location and potential damage to the building it is pressing up against. 3 more tree's are being planted in the precincts to make up for it's loss. T4 Taxus Baccatta fastigiata- located in the archdeacons garden. To have it's sided reduced to bring its proportions back in scale with the garden and a 20% reduction in height. the Archdeacons garden will be undergoing extensive renovation including the adding of new tree's of an appropriate species, both in terms of size and wildlife value. T 5 Prunus spp- located in the memorial garden. To be removed as the tree is the wrong tree for the space, over the past few years the memorial garden has seen several new tree's planted and now is the time to remove unsuitable tree's to assist with the landscape plan. T6 Gleditsia triacanthos- located in the memorial garden. To be crown raised to 4m due to overhanging branches starting to affect pathways and rubbing on a wall. T7 Prunus cerasifera- located in the old convent.To be removed to give more room to the establishing magnolia tree, a native sorbus torminalis has already recently been planted to compensate for the poor siting of the prunus.
