Consultation by the London Borough of Southwark on the part demolition to the rear of 1 and 3 - 7 Stamford Street together with: the erection of a ground plus three-storey podium comprising retail, leisure, office, education, gallery, library and assembly room uses; two levels of basement for servicing, plant, car and cycle parking plus pit access within a partial basement at level three; two residential buildings of 22 and 40 storeys above podium; an office building of 45 storeys above podium; improvements to the existing public house; landscaping at ground and podium levels; replacement boundary at the southern edge of the Site; plant and all other associated, enabling and ancillary works. The application is accompanied by an Environmental Statement (ES) submitted pursuant to the Town and County Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2017, (LBS ref. 23/AP/1854).

Change of use from office (E) use class, to flexible Class E and/or C2 Residential Institution, alterations and refurbishment of listed building (including partial demolition / replacement of existing roof structures and rooflights with new) to form Rough Sleeper Assessment Centre. Installation of new external plant and changes to landscaping including creation of covered seating area, installation of new bike stands and access gate.

Demolition of the existing buildings and construction of a new building arranged over three basement levels, ground and 37 upper floors to provide an office-led, mixed use development comprising commercial, business and service uses (Class E), flexible commercial, business and service uses /drinking establishment uses (Class E/Sui Generis); and learning and non-residential institutions uses (Class F1); creation of a new pedestrian route through the site at ground floor level; hard and soft landscaping works; outdoor seating associated with ground level uses and other works incidental to the development.
