Consultation by the London Borough of Islington on the submission of planning application LBI ref. P2023/1606/FUL for the "Erection of a roof extension at fourth, fifth and sixth floors, rear extensions to floors one to six to accommodate additional office floorspace (Class E), provision of rear and rooftop terraced amenity spaces, alterations to the ground floor entrance, opening-up of the existing infilled basement space, recladding and remodelling of the Charterhouse Street facade, alterations at roof level including the provision of replacement plant and machinery, creation of a flexible Class E unit at ground floor level and other associated works."

Part demolition, repair, and refurbishment of the building known as the Poultry Market, Charterhouse Street at ground, first and basement levels, associated with a change of use of the building to provide a museum and ancillary uses and areas; including: works associated with an entrance structure on West Poultry Avenue; internal alterations including creation of a part new first floor; fabric removal and refurbishment on all floors; replacement glazing; facade cleaning and other facade repair; levelling of ground floor; works of repair to the roof; installation of new heating and cooling equipment; new M&E services; repurposing of the south service bay and associated infill structure; remodelling of the north service bay; internal decoration; replacement balustrade; and other associated works as shown on the submitted plans and drawings.

Partial demolition, alteration and extension to provide office and flexible office/restaurant floorspace (Class E) at ground, lower ground and basement level and office floorspace (Class E) on upper levels comprising (i) demolition of level 7 and plant enclosure above; (ii) creation of new office floorplates at levels 7, 8, and 9 and plant enclosure above; (iii) retention of lower ground and basement level and concrete frame at ground to level 6 with replacement front and rear facades; (iv) remodelling of office entrance, associated external alterations at street level including creation of new entrance; (v) creation of external terraces and associated hard and soft landscaping; (vi) provision of ancillary cycle parking and associated facilities; and (vii) other ancillary works.

Alterations and extension to existing Class E building, comprising part removal and replacement of existing 6th floor within the erection of 3 storey roof extension and roof top plant. Extension to ground floor within Leman Street and remodelling of office entrances. External alterations including replacement of existing glazing. Extensions and alterations to Prescot Street elevation. Extensions to rear aspect of building at ground to 8th floor. Replacement of external roof top terraces.

Change of use at basement, ground, first, second and third floor levels from hotel (Class C1 use) to a flexible use for either Class C1 or Class C3 purposes to provide seven units of accommodation; Erection of a set-back roof extension for a flexible use for either Class C1 or Class C3 purposes to provide two additional units of accommodation (9 in total); External alterations comprising retention and repair of Newbury Street facade, demolition of the rear facade and its remodelling in brick; the addition of two new (fourth and fifth) floors with amenity spaces enclosed by metal balustrades; and the installation of a sedum roof.

Alterations to the west elevation including: remodelling of two existing windows at first floor level; and repairs and minor alterations to existing render, drainage and repairs to brickwork at ground plinth level.

i) Part demolition of 2-7 Salisbury Court (Grade II listed; ii) remodelling at roof level; iii) formation of new facade to south elevation, and part new facade to west elevation; iv) replacement fenestration; v) new plant; and vi) associated internal alterations. This application has been submitted alongside an application for planning permission (20/00997/FULEIA) and another application for listed building consent (20/00996/LBC).
