Beech tree sitting to the right hand side of the house as you look at it, on top of a retaining wall. Tree identified in sketch drawing and circled in red in photograph. Sitting very close to the house (less than 0.5m), roots are pushing against house walls, with the retaining wall being pushed away from the house wall. Tree branches are coming across the front of the house and sitting in the gutters. Work recommended by a tree surgeon is to remove the tree, rather than shape/trim, due to its proximity to the house in order to prevent further damage.

Fell 3 silver birch due to proximity to house and damage to wall

Therefore roots could cause damage to garden wall and due to its size it is a danger to the property.

T1 (Black Poplar) - Reduce limb in lower crown, nearest to neighbouring property window, by up to 2 metres. - reduce other limb in lower crown, overhanging neighbouring property by up to 1.5 metres - remove split and broken branch. T2 (Silver Birch) - Crown lift to approx. 5 metre - cut back from neighbouring property to give 2 metres clearance to building - reduce limb over hen house by approx. 2 metres

In the rear garden of the property stands a large Thuja tree adjacent to the rear of the garage and marked on the attached map as T1, the tree is multi stemmed and is too large for its location next to the house and garage blocking light and concerns with the root system so we are applying to cut down the tree and replace with a 2m tall Prunus avium at the same location.

The reason I wish the tree to be trimmed is due to it not residing in my garden but it over hangs mine. I have lived at this address for 15 years and it's never been trimmed in all the years I have lived here. The tree is also taller than any house that it faces. I am concerned if left it could fall and damage some work I am about to do in my garden and also house around it.

G1:3 Conifer trees near house - Reduce the height of the group to 5m. This is for insurances purposes. T1 &2: Reduce Conifers near wall to 5m and trim back overhang from neighbours. T3: Reduce crown of Apple tree by 2m back to previous cuts to tidy up and allow more light into the garden.

1 take back branches a few meters so they are not touching or over hanging the barn roof as currently they are causing damage to the roof (see photo). 2 Cut down as causing damage to barn. 3 Pollard beech tree hedge as currently blocking a lot of sunlight into the garden. 4 Take back lower branches as currently overhanding a large area in the garden. 6 Cut down rotten branch that is overhanging the swing and garden. 7, 8 and 9 Cut down as blocking sunlight getting to the bottom lawn. 10 and 11 Cut down branches overhanding lawn, currently encroaching lawn and preventing grass growth. 12 and 13 Cut down self set beech and holly tree, currently blocking sunlight from getting to the bottom lawn, stopping grass from growing. Also George pointed out that the beech would fail anyway as the trunk splits. 14 Take off lower limb that comes off from main trunk to help main tree grow and give light into the area. 15,16 and 17 Cut down self set trees allowing more established trees to grow and allow light into the coppice area. 18 Cut down fir tree as too big for the area and overhanging roof of the house causing damage. 19 Cut down tree as causing damage to barn roof. 20 Pollard trees as have got extremely large.

Oak T1 - The oak is overhanging my neighbours' roof and guttering. The lower branches are impeding their enjoyment of their front garden and also access of my husband's large van to our driveway. It also hangs over the public highway and pavement for pedestrians. Branches tend to break off in high winds and I am concerned that young children play out in the cul-de-sac. I have spoken to an arborist and would like to apply for a 15-20% crown reduction to take the overhang back from my neighbours' house, a light thin, removal of dead and/or dangerous branches and a crown lift of, probably, 3 mtrs to allow van access to our driveway and so that our neighbours can fully enjoy their front garden and that pedestrians are not inconvenienced on the public footpath. The arborist said he would rebalance the tree to retain its aesthetic.
