We propose the installation of a 632.97kwpsolarphotovoltaics array to the existing roof of the Jacksons bakery building Corby. the building operates as a bakery and distribution centre, is situated on an industrial estate surrounded by other commercial properties. solar equipment will be sited on the pitched roof to minimise the effect on the external appearance of the building and amenity to the area. the solar panels will not protrude more than 0.2 metres beyond the plane of the roof slope. equipment mounted on the roof will not be within one metre of the external edge of the roof. to limit the reflections, solar pv panels are constructed of dark, light absorbing materials and covered with an anti-reflective coating the total solar pv system will produce approximately 557,783kwh of electricity per year and does not exceed one megawatt capacity under permitted development rights.
