Overhead Lines Exemption (England and Wales) Regulations 2009 - To erect a new pole (lazy leg) adjacent to the existing pole 41SRE9 to allow a new transformer to be erected on the H pole. Additional underground earthing and cabling to be installed towards A30 carriageway development.

It is proposed to undertake the following work that is considered to be exempted from the Electricity Act 1989 by falling within the Overhead Lines (Exemption) (England and Wales) Regulations 2009:

Western Power Distribution (WPD) has been asked to provide a new electricity connection to the above address. WPD have a statutory duty to provide connections to the electricity network and in order to do this it will be necessary to run a third wire approximately 580metres supported by existing wooden poles 45NHG8 through to 45NHG17 (10 poles) and to add an additional support pole into the existing line next to pole 45NHG17 from which WPD will take an U/G cable into private land for the new connection. WPD will replace three poles (45NHG9, 45NHG15 and 45NHG16) as part of standard maintenance whilst undertaking this new connection works. Attached plan reference 3746417.

It is proposed to undertake the following work that is considered to be exempted from the Electricity Act 1989 by falling within the Overhead Lines (Exemption) (England and Wales) Regulations 2009:

Discharge of existing s106 agreement as tenant has exercised the Application to Buy and will be staircasing to 100%.

Prior notification for installation of a new ground-mounted substation.

Construct a new ground mounted transformer and lay associated underground cables.

Additional environmental approval (AEA) to extend implementation period to 1 May 2021.

Deed of modification to vary mortage exemption clause and set discount percentage.

Variation of a s106 agreement to include the Councils latest Mortgage protection clause
