The installation of a solar farm, with substation, small battery site, inverters and associated equipment. Panels will be laid in rows and a simple metal framework that is driven into the ground would support each of the panels, thereby avoiding the use of concrete foundations. The top edge of each panel would be approximately 3.25 meters above the ground at its highest point. The rows of modules would be spaced approximately 4.0 - 7.5 meters apart and track the orientation of the sun from East to West. The array would be set back from its boundaries by a distance of not less than 5.0 meters. Electricity will be transported to the Grid via the substation neighbouring the North West part of the land.

This notice is a re-submission of 18/01636/HEDGE to extend the time limit for implementation. There were no objections to this notice previously and consultation with CDC officers suggests that there should be no objections to this re-submission The applicant owns agricultural and equestrian land that does not have direct access to the highway. Currently these can only be accessed via the adjacent agricultural field with the permission of the farmer. The applicant would like to create their own field access directly from the highway onto their land to improve access. The road is unclassified and therefore planning permission for this access is not required. This has been confirmed by CDC planning officers.
