Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Screening Opinion Request for demolition of the existing car park, former Sainsbury's supermarket and former leisure centre and the redevelopment of the site with the construction of a replacement leisure centre, Integrated Retirement Community with commercial space at ground floor and improved public realm including a new public pedestrian link towards Purley Railway Station between the High Street and Whytecliffe Road South (the 'Development'). The Development would comprise four buildings in a stepped height arrangement, ranging from 3 to 13 storeys in height.

Discharge of condition 3 (demolition management plan) attached to permission 21/04969/FUL dated 13/09/22 (appeal ref: APP/L5240/W/22/3297231) for 'the demolition of existing building and the construction of 30 retirement living apartments (C3) with a communal lounge, guest suite, lower ground floor car parking and refuse store, provision of new access onto Sanderstead Hill (closure of existing vehicle access), pedestrian access, landscaping and associated works.'
