1. Elm trees x2 - Fell to ground level as dead / dying. Due to Dutch Elm Disease and being roadside. 2. Walnut tree - Reduce lateral branches overhanging the road and garden/house by 4m. and 3m respectively. This tree is significantly overhanging both the road and the domestic property proposed pruning to mitigate these risks and to retain a balanced shape to the tree. 3. Sycamore - Remove two lower branches, one of which has suffered damage from passing vehicles, to reduce road overhang, mitigate safety concerns and vehicular damage risk. 4. Silver Birch - Remove three lower branches to reduce road overhang, mitigate safety concerns and vehicular damage risk. 5. Cherry Laurel - Reduce the height to 2.5m in order to reduce excessive garden shading and risk from branches being shed. 6. Prunus x2 - Pollard to 3.5m. One of these two trees lost a significant branch earlier in 2022 and the tree has suffered a significant split at a height of 4.0m which is likely to cause further branches to fail. The second tree to be pollarded to match. 7. Conifer - Removal to ground level. 8. Ash - Remove a lower limb/fork which, is considered at risk of cleaving with consequent splitting of the remainder of the trunk, potentially allowing disease to infect the remainder, as well as to reduce excessive shading. If this limb were to fall it would destroy a garden shed as well as damaging other trees/shrubs beneath. In addition, reduce the crown height by 6m (cutting to growth points) as well as removal of laterals which are significantly overhanging the neighbouring property.

G1 Silver Birch, Holly Tree, False Acacia - Cut down to clear space for summer house/shed

T1 Oak - Reduce crown all round by 1m back to suitable growth points. (Continuing to maintain this tree at a reasonable size for its proximity to the house.)

A - Laburnum - This tree is planted close to the house (c 2 m) and overshadows the kitchen and dining room windows significantly. We are also concerned about the poisonous seeds and the many seedlings that it produces as we have a young grandchild and our neighbours also have young children. We had previously been given permission to prune this but have now decided that it is inappropriate in this location. B - Leylandii hedging belonging to 4 The Paddock, CB6 1TP. We propose to cut this outgrown hedge back to our property boundary. It overshadows our garden by about 3 m and greatly restrict what we can grow in its shade.

T1 Silver Birch - Remove due to proximity to property, drains and septic tank. Located about 3 metres from front of the house. Septic tank and other drains within 2-3 metres of the tree

T1 Eucalyptus - Fell as have been implicated as damaging the adjacent Grade II* Listed House. T2 Eucalyptus - Fell as have been implicated as damaging the adjacent Grade II* Listed House.

G1 Group of 6 evergreen conifers - Section fell to ground level and remove stumps. Trees have outgrown the space and originally looked to have been planted as a hedge. Impossible to grow underneath and are a regular roosting spot for birds creating excessive mess in close proximity to the boys boarding house and the area used for recreation. We propose to plant a small to medium fruit tree in the garden to go along with a weeping cherry and Photinia hedge which has already been planted.
