General pruning of Yew tree that had its crown / height removed in 2016 under application 16/1185/TRE. This application is to remove the growth since the works under 16/1185/TRE with reshaping to give the appearance of a yew tree rather than a hedge, in accordance with the request of the tree's owner Nicola and David Meyrick of the Coach House EX12 3HS. This yew tree significantly obscures the view of 1 Eastcroft, EX12 3HS - if this application is successful, please could continuous approval be considered to keep this yew tree at the height approved by 16/1185/TRE to avoid new applications every 3 to 4 years as the yew tree grows again.

T1, Ash, T2 ash, T3 ash: dismantle all three trees to ground level as they are too close to the house and there is a risk of them falling onto the house and causing damage/harm.

Liquidambar : crown reduce height to 1.5m below lines; side of crown over pavement cut back to a 30cm inside roadside curb and other sides reduced to a tidier dome. Magnolia : reduce crown height to 4m to encourage lower growth to avoid wind damage and leave a 1.5m clearance from main house (around line of veranda).

Oak tree approx. 7m to north of house - reduce the canopy on the south and east sides where it overhangs the dwelling and driveway respectively by up to 2-3m, pruning back branches to suitable growth points to accord with BS3998 2010 Tree Work Recommendations and good arboricultural practice

T1: Monterey cypress - removal of roots up to 20mm where uplifting and protruding through driveway surface. (Consult with Tree Team if roots 20mm need works and alternative suitable driveway surface required.) T2: mature sweet chestnut with senescent crown - reduction of canopy on west side (nearest the house) and height reduction by approximately 1.5m. Removal of deadwood. T3: yew - crown lift to 2.5m above ground level to allow access under the canopy, reduce the extent of eastern canopy by up to 2m. T4 & T5: chestnuts - reduce overhanging branches back to hedgerow by approx 1.5m.

Beech: crown reduction of branches growing towards the neighbours house by approximately 1.5 - 2 m, diameter cuts approximately 3 - 5 cm. Western Red Cedar (x2): fell.

T1 & T2 Beech : To carry out a crown lift to approximately 3m above ground level. T1 : Target prune the larger limbs on the rear of T1 (as looking from the rear of 3 Old Home farm). Reduce the lateral length by approximately 4 - 5m.

T1, Holmoak : DBH aprox 35" located by car parking area at Powys House and growing over the rear garden of 12 Sidlands; on north to north easterly aspect, crown raise by removing 1 x forth order branch, on higher co-dominant stem, aprox 125 mm in diameter; then above this branch, are 3 times smaller diameter branches between 50-80mm growing over Pittisporum and variated Holly to be pruned back to trunk - this is to give more light to 12 Sidlands garden and give the crown a level appearance.

T1, Eucalyptus: Fell. T2, Birch: Fell. G3, Palm: Fell. T4, Blue Spruce: Fell. G5 Cypresses (x2) and 1 Elaeagnus: Crown reduce bottom to approx 2 metres and trim. G6 Magnolia: Crown reduce at the side of property by appox. half, remove branches growing towards house. G7 Camellias: Crown reduce by approx half and reduce the width in line with the wall.

T1, Japanese Maple : reduce the canopy spread towards the house by 2.0m, with maximum diameter cuts of 65mm, to address the crown bias and begin re-forming the architecture of the crown
