G1 : Dismantle in a controlled manner 2 x Chamaecyparis Elwoodii Conifer trees cutting as close to ground level as possible. The customer will replant with something more suitable as the current trees are too close to the wall.

Ash tree #203 is located on the edge of a bank alongside the drive to Shute Barton House. Approximately 80% crown loss was recorded during a survey completed on the 7th June 2022. The Trust would like permission to fell/dismantle this tree to make this area of the drive safe.

T4, Oak tree in significant decline will be cut to approximately 12 ft for safe standing dead wood (monolith) for habitat

G1, Two supressed Holm Oak trees : Proposal - Reduce in height by 4 metres. Reasons and written evidence provided by Hywel Davies (Exe Tree Care Ltd) - They have been suppressed by the larger trees surrounding, and hence the girth of each central leader is not great enough to support itself, given the lateral wind forces exerted over time, and the height reached whilst 'growing for the light'. I recommend the work to reduce the risk of future failure, given the proximity of each tree over Cotmaton Rd; diameter cuts sizes of 20cm. BS 3998 adhered to. T2, Suppressed Lawson cypress - Fell Reasons - Situated between the Yew tree and Holm Oak, this tree is severely suppressed, and can not mature in the position it is in. I therefore recommend felling, allowing other mature trees to fill the space. T3,- Yew : Crown lift from the lawn by 1 metre. Cut sizes of 9cm. 2nd and 3rd order growth only. Reasons - To create light to the beds and lawn, and better access for mowers etc.

T1, Beech : Pollard because of excessive shading, excessive hight and diameter. T2, Beech : Pollard because of excessive shading, and excessive hight. T3, Ash : Pollard because of excessive shading, hight and diameter. All three trees have over hanging branches onto neighbours property.

T1, Oak : Prune because of excessive shading to give approximately 2 metres clearance to greenhouse.

Flowering Plum (T1) - Reduce by no more than 1.5m to the height of the line in the attached photos. Apple (T2) - Fell Apple (T3) - Fell

T1 Oak : Reduce height of crown by 2meters from 10 meters to leave a Finished height of 8 meters ; reduce crown spread by thinning the regrowth removing the longest branches reduce the spread from 6 metres to 4 metres; remove epicormic shoots from the trunk to maintain a tree appropriate for the garden.

Large, mature Sycamore : reduce to a monolithdue to poor health, see report attached, and replace with two Oak trees
