Reconfiguration of the bay window roofs on the front elevation - The original approval included a glassed roof conservatory to the rear of the premises. The conservatory is to remain the same size, but will now have a solid flat roof in lieu of the approved glass roof. The bedroom window above the conservatory is a fire escape window and East Suffolk Building Control have advised a flat roof would be a far better option in terms of means of escape from the first floor bedroom. The flat roof will also provide better insulation and therefore be warmer in the winter in cooler in the summer
