Refurbish and join existing buildings and change the use to a light industrial Engineering Office B1(a & c) with small private gym facilities. The refurbishment has been planned in stages: 1. Remove the cold store and modernise the surrounding steel-fabricated building, recycling materials where possible. 2. Update the interior of the brick office to include a new toilet, shower and replace steel-framed windows, removing unsightly security bars. 3. Join the two buildings and add a Mezzanine floor with balcony above the brick office. Installing roof-lights between the building to create an atrium. 4. Add solar panels to the roof of the South facing steel-fabricated building. 5. Prior Notification - Change of Use from Offices (Class B1(a)) to Dwellinghouses (Class C3) The proposed works will restore the mid-terraced property, currently used as office space, to its original purpose of a single residential dwelling. This will involve full refurbishment of the interior, including upgrades to the electric and plumbing systems to comply with current regulations and also improve the energy efficiency of the dwelling. Additional Environmental Approval of DC/17/0430/FUL - (Construction of a first floor extension to the front of the care home. A new lift shaft is also proposed at the back of the care home. The second floor is to be changed from offices to bedrooms whilst the ground floor will have part of its layout changed to make use of space better. Two chimneys are proposed to be demolished as well as some internal walls to create the lift shaft as well as change the floors layouts. Part of the existing roof will be demolished for the new roof of the first floor extension. The two dormer windows will also be demolished with two new ones in their place.) - extension of permission expiry period to 1 May 2021.
