Prior Notifiction (Agricultural Operations) - Cattle shed

The proposal in this application is for this portion of land (approximately 1100sqm) to be used as a small producer of concrete paving slabs used for local landscaping and garden improvements - the company is Salter Group (East Anglia) Limited. Activities include mixing cement and using moulds to create aesthetic paving slabs. Salter Group began using this portion of land simply as a place to store equipment and excess materials, but as this successful small venture has grown over the past year, we would like to formalise the usage of land from agricultural storage to small commercial usage. Proposals: - Change of use from empty agricultural land to flexible small commercial activity - Temporary one story shed with opening swing doors to store cement mixers and high value moulds overnight - shed to keep generator to reduce any noise impact - laying a concrete walk to reduce impact on ground - portaloo on site - Low wooden bays to keep materials (sand) - Racks to keep slabs organised The following elements do not concern the paving production, but are owned and used for non business purposes by the land owner. - shipping container (belongs to landowner for storage of maintenance equipment, e.g. mower for adjacent paddock) - a touring caravan will occasionally be left on the hard standing next to the existing barn. This caravan belongs to the landowner family and they keep it here when not in use.

A garden shed measuring 6.0m x 3.0m with 2.25m ridge height. Constructed of 7mm shiplap timber on a concrete base. Position shown at Appendix 1 (Boundary Farm Barn Garden Shed Sketch). To be located not less than 1.2m from western boundary shown at Appendix 2 (Ordnance Survey Site Plan 1:1000) Photograph of construction type shown at appendix 3 although intended to be painted black in keeping with Boundary Farm Barn.

4.6m x 15.46m Lean-to extension to existing barn and 14.4m x 7.29m new shed to fit between two existing barns, for the storage of hay and farm equipment. Area is currently used for the storage of farm equipment.

Replacement of existing poultry farm. Demolition of 6 elderly poultry sheds. Replacement with 2 contemporary poultry barns, farm store, cold store, attenuation lagoon and landscaping.
