Brightwell Wood Land Adjacent Lower House Bucklesham Hall Drive Brightwell Suffolk

Prior Notification - Clearing a dirt path trail through the woods. Planting indigenous species of trees to enhance the visual aesthetic of the woodland. To manage the public footpath by erecting post and rail fencing 3 meters either side of it. To maintain the footpath by clearing leaves and fallen branches and any other natural debris that occurs. The main idea for this area is to add some extra length onto our cross-country cycle trail. At present this is a 4-mile loop and our hope is to add an additional 2 miles of trail onto that, to make a total circuit of 6 miles. On existing site-to convert two shipping containers (see drawings) to house a check in point and first aid area which will also serve as a repairs shop, bike hire and merchandise sales area. The containers are semi permanent, recycled, that can be relocated in the future. If required the containers will be clad in wood to be in keeping with 'natural' theme of the park. Management of the land/woodland We will be using and taking advice from a woodland management company to take care of the trees and to ensure that the local resident wildlife is protected and encouraged. Anyone interested is most welcome to request copies of any reports produced. The existing pheasant pen and all associated equipment (such as animal traps found on site) will be removed. We are also in the process of removing other rubbish discovered, including an old abandoned car and parts dotted around, and hundreds of shotgun cartridge shells that litter the land.

Bell Meadow Recreation Ground The Street Heveningham Suffolk

Discharge of Condition(s) Nos. 4 and 5 of DC/19/4130/FUL - Clearance of some of an overgrown area to create a multi-functional amenity space for the local community with: a) area of long meadow grass with wild flowers and small fruiting trees, b) woodland area with trees, woodland planting, c) mown games area, d) an existing area of scrub land to maintain the ecological diversity. We aim to improve the natural habitat, and to encourage wildlife with more mixed native hedging and trees whilst creating a secure space for children with timber post and rail fencing of the stream and ditch. We have made provision for rubbish and recycling bins. We intend to site notice boards describing the wildlife that lives in the area so as to provide further interest for visitors. We have consulted with the Suffolk Wildlife trust for a wildlife appraisal (enclosed) and will continue to do so as the project progresses, in particular to ask for mitigation measures in developing the site so as to achieve a net gain in biodiversity. Some of this net gain will be through adding other plant species whilst retaining some of the existing scrub as well as the installation of bat boxes, small bird nesting boxes and bug boxes - Prior to the commencement of the development provision of details of tree planting, grassland creation methodology and fencing shall be submitted to the local planning authority. And Prior to the first use of the land a long term management plan for the site shall be produced identifying how its biodiversity value will be maintained and enhanced.
