Listed Building Consent - Retain Replacement of boundary fence
43 Daphne Road Orford Suffolk IP12 2NH
Listed Building Consent - The courtyard at the back of our property is bordered on one side by a low brick wall surmounted by a modern choisya shrub/hedge to a height of around 2.2m, and on the other side by a modern, wooden fence of a similar height. We would like to remove the shrub and rebuild the low wall to the current height of the hedge, and replace the fence on the other boundary with a brick wall of similar height and construction. Both walls would be attached to our own property, and built of handmade, soft red brick with lime mortar, in monks bond.

2 Yew Tree House Badingham Road Framlingham Suffolk IP13 9HY
Listed Building Consent - Yew Tree House is timber-framed and rough-case rendered with roofs in a mixture of glazed and red clay pantiles. The former farmhouse was built in the late 16th century and has since been divided into two. The proposal is to remove the existing privet-style hedge that marks the front boundary between the two houses, planted in 1960s. The hedge is approximately 4ft 6in high, 2ft wide and 46ft long and has become unwieldy, bulges in places and does not reach the front boundaries of the property. After taking advice from East Suffolk Conservation Office, the replacement natural planed wood picket fence will be 4ft high and 50 ft long. The fence will be treated with Alkaline Copper Quat to protect it against decay, rot and insect attack without the use of harmful chemicals. The hedge will be removed late summer to avoid disturbing any nesting birds.
