Prior Approval application for the change of use of a light industrial barn from Class E(g)(iii) to Class C3 Dwellinghouse under Class MA of the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) (England) (Amendment) Order 2021, which came into effect on 1st August 2021.

The purpose of this undertaking is to establish a new national research and training facility within the Eastern region as a nationally and internationally innovative hub for digital technology growth by bridging the UKs largest telecom service and one of the growing universities of the region. The proposed development will unite high quality academic capabilities with world leading industrial research and development with high-tech infrastructure which will be facilitated by the adaptation of the ground and first floor of the Oberon building (B67) to accommodate the ICT and Digital Creative provision.
