NOTE: A separate application has been submitted regarding T1 oak and T2 oak of the MWA Arboricultural Report.

Front garden T1 Horse Chestnut - Reduce and reshape by 2m MAX. Reason - Another Horse chestnut failed close by so this tree is now vulnerable to wind forces, reduction will reduce sail. T2 Horse Chestnut - Reduce and reshape by 2.5m MAX. Reason - Tree has an over extending top, reduction will remove risk of storm damage.

TPO SCDC 191:2005 T7 Oak 30% reduction, T8 Sweet Chestnut 30% reduction, remove deadwood and crown lift both trees up to 3-4m. To reduce shading and reduce loading on branches.

Mature Lime in rear garden - to be felled. The tree dominates surrounding trees, blocking light to them, leading to restricted growth. It stands in a rear garden and has limited public amenity value. Its removal will allow other surrounding trees to flourish.

TPO ESCC 1955 0029 T1 Beech: The species is relatively short-lived and is not resistant to decay. This tree is mature and in declining condition, with a sparse crown and poor extension growth, there is also some basal decay evident, with adaptive growth. The remaining contribution of the tree is limited and the basal decay, whilst not an immediate concern could become an issue given the condition of the crown and lack of vigour. Its amenity contribution is eroded by its sparse crown. T2 & T3 Oak: These are a pair of weather-damaged trees. T2 has lost its main leader and formed a very low, spreading crown, T3 has been stuck by lightning in the past and has very limited live canopy growth. Both trees have a battered appearance and neither makes a significant contribution to the surroundings. The trees dominate the site and the applicant would like to remove them to provide usable domestic space. It is proposed to plant three replacement trees on the edge of the site; 2 oak and one small leaf lime.

Listed Building Consent - Yew Tree House is timber-framed and rough-case rendered with roofs in a mixture of glazed and red clay pantiles. The former farmhouse was built in the late 16th century and has since been divided into two. The proposal is to remove the existing privet-style hedge that marks the front boundary between the two houses, planted in 1960s. The hedge is approximately 4ft 6in high, 2ft wide and 46ft long and has become unwieldy, bulges in places and does not reach the front boundaries of the property. After taking advice from East Suffolk Conservation Office, the replacement natural planed wood picket fence will be 4ft high and 50 ft long. The fence will be treated with Alkaline Copper Quat to protect it against decay, rot and insect attack without the use of harmful chemicals. The hedge will be removed late summer to avoid disturbing any nesting birds.

T1 Copper Beech - Fell to ground level and replace with 2 x smaller trees more suitable trees Reason: mature tree approx. 45ft tall with approx. 30ft spread tree shades most of garden and back of house.
