The external walls of the small building are set back 2 metres from the boundaries on all sides and a significant proportion of the building is below the hedge line. The external walls are clad in shou-sugi-ban charred timber cladding and the roof is clad with VM Zinc Anthra, both materials match the alterations and extensions of the main house which have been given planning consent.
