Internal and external alterations to the Grade II Listed Town Hall. Repair and restoration of rooms of heritage significance including interventions within the Assembly Hall. Internal alterations to include new platform lifts, doorways and room layouts and general reconfiguration of ground to fourth floor. Alterations at roof level, to include lowering of the courtyard parapet to accommodate new accommodation at roof level and within a roof extension. Introduction of new lift to roof level, fire-fighting lifts and bridge walkways. Repair and refurbishment of the external stone and brickwork facades. The removal of the external access platforms and stairways and reordering of ground floor entrance to enable restoration of North Elevation, and the replacement of selected single-glazed steel windows with double-glazed steel windows.

Demolition and re-building of the side boundary and garage walls including the conversion of the existing garage into habitable accommodation to provide one bedroom with en-suite bathroom, demolition and re-building of the existing single storey back addition and amalgamation of the garage into the rear part of the single storey back addition; relocation of the loft access hatch at roof level; installation of a new window at first floor level to the side elevation; replacement of existing window with new doors and double glazed side lights to the rear elevation at ground floor level; installation of new door openings to the existing garage wall fronting the garden area; installation of access gate to the side boundary wall; alterations to the roof of single storey back addition and garage to include the installation of new rooflights; raising of the ground floor parapet wall by 250cm; internal alterations at first floor level to include: installation of a new door to the bedroom, internal alterations at ground floor level to include: installation of internal glazing to windows at the front elevation, alterations to the kitchen area and removal of the false chimney breast in the living room area; associated internal and external alterations.
