Removal of existing garden structures; replacement of front gate and installation of railings to front boundary wall; works to wall of front lightwell and replacement of lightwell balustrade, repair of the existing main roof; repair of window and door to lower ground floor to the front elevation; alterations to existing single storey rear extension at lower ground floor level to include infilling 2no. windows to the side elevation, replacement of the roof including removal of an existing rooflight, installation of 3no. new rooflights and provision of sedum green roof, alterations to openings and fenestration to the rear elevation; enlargement of the external rear courtyard and steps; landscaping of the rear garden; internal alterations including works to lower ground floor, alterations to treads of staircase between ground and lower ground floor, alterations to bathrooms, fitted joinery and replacement floor coverings; and associated external and internal alterations.

Change of use of part of the building from Town Hall (Sui Generis) to a 90 bed hotel (Use Class C1) with integral and ancillary uses including bar/restaurants, meeting rooms and conference/event space and change of use of the remainder of the building to a co-working space (Use Class E(g)); excavation of the basement; the provision of ancillary parking spaces, taxi drop off and service area with access from Harwood Road and Moore Park Road; erection of an additional storey at roof level (plus a storey of plant) and a four storey rear extension to the 1934 Extension following demolition of single storey corridor link to Harwood Road Wing; erection of additional storeys at second and third floor levels plus plant at fourth floor level to the Harwood Road Wing following demolition of former caretaker's flat at second floor level; erection of a fire escape stair and part three, part five storey (plus plant) extension to the rear of the Concert Hall/Council Chamber close to the Cedarne Road boundary; enclosure of central lightwell in connection with installation of new lifts; erection of new lift and stair cores to the north and south sides of the Harwood Road Wing; replacement of selected windows; various window alterations; installation of fixed glazed acoustic screens to exterior of selected windows and various other external alterations in connection with the change of use; and various internal demolition works and internal alterations including changes to the layout of the Council Chamber, the installation of fire lobbies, pod bathrooms, kitchenettes, lifts and the installation of secondary glazing to selected windows. Erection of rear extensions at first floor level following the demolition of existing first floor rear back addition; alterations to the fenestration of the modern ground floor extension; internal alterations to include: internal demolition and re-configuration of the ground floor comprising of re-instatement of opening in the wall to the kitchen, change to the existing doorways and reconstructing the wc, internal alterations at first floor level to include creation of bathroom; internal alterations to floors, re-instating original cornices, balustrades and fireplaces, new front boundary ornamental railings; associated internal and external alterations; addition of sedum roof over existing ground floor rear extension.

Demolition of the existing Rosalind Franklin Building (excluding boiler house arch and chimney) and erection of a new two storey Centre for Design and Innovation (CDI) adjacent to the retained boundary wall and new fencing to the rear of properties on Rowan Road; excavation to extend the CDI to the west; erection of a glazed link between the CDI and the Mercers Building to the south; refurbishment of the Mercers Building including removal of the fire escape stair and introduction of new overhead door; demolition of the existing Forum Building (excluding screen to science courtyard) and erection of a new three storey Staff Hub and link with the Main Building; enclosure of spaces between the Main Building and the Staff Hub and CDI buildings by erection of covered links; installation of solar photovoltaic panels and replacement of existing plant screen to the roof of the Celia Johnson building; landscaping of the car park including changes to the entrance gates and the erection of a new single storey maintenance building in the southeast corner of the car park; reconfiguration of some spaces in the Main Building over lower ground, upper ground and first floor for administration spaces, meeting spaces, pastoral spaces and toilet and locker space; landscaping works to the science courtyard and other associated works.

Alterations and extensions to the Grade II listed building including the demolition of the summer house, erection of a part-one, part-two and part-three storey extension and excavation of a basement beneath the extension, in connection with the use of the site as a 32-bedroom nursing home (Use Class C2) together with the demolition and replacement of front and side boundary walls, and means of access to the highway on Daisy Lane.

Internal alterations at lower ground floor include: the demolition of boiler room, rear wall and external stairs to facilitate the erection of a rear extension; renewal of gas and electric store cupboards re-arrangement of lower ground floor including the installation of a new kitchen, heating system, and wall insulation, minor alteration to fireplace; installation of lower ground floor doorway below entrance door; Internal works at ground floor level include: re-instatement of fireplaces and interior panelling, removal of radiators, renewal of cupboard; Internal works at first floor level include: the re-arrangement of the existing front room to accommodate a bathroom and dressing room, including the re-hanging of the entrance door, insertion of a new access from landing area to existing bathroom, reinstatement of fireplaces and removal of cupboards; Internal alterations at second floor level include: demolition of modern partition walls and bathroom within the rear room to create larger bedroom, increased size of loft hatch, installation of a bathroom with the utility room on the landing; associated internal alterations and re-arrangements; External alterations to include erection of a single storey rear extension to the main building at lower ground floor level, including the demolition of the rear wall, boiler room and external stairs, and retaining garden wall; erection of an external staircase from lower ground floor level to ground floor level in the rear garden; excavation of the front garden to reinstate the original front lightwell, and remedial works to all doors and windows and to the front boundary brick wall, including the installation of raised brick pillars and a larger wrought iron gate and lantern.
